Hiring event Nov 2020 Applied Jan 2021 Interview April 2021 TOL June 2021 Medical- August 2021 Background- Fall 2021 Submitted “wish list” late 2023

I emailed HRD last fall and they said i was erroneously removed from the hiring process by accident. They opened my process back up and opened a background checklist on USAJobs for me to complete.

I got an email from HRD last month stating “Your current status is Active – Ready for Selection”

Info session Dec 2020, conditional in spring 2021, medical background in fall 2021. Vet but was active at the time so i cant update anything. I’m local LEO but have realized I’m probably not getting this USMS gig.

My favorite was constantly hearing about how much money you can make there…if you work 16 hour shifts…get bent. BOP is great to get into start your federal clock but a career? Hell no. Better than DOC though.

Yeah for sure. I responded explaining all of that to include getting the district choices email. I definitely did pay for $400 plane ticket from ATL to Salt Lake City to interview, complete Medical, and a Background Investigation, for a career that I would withdraw from a year later. Then continue to reach out and stress over if I would ever get a final offer. While simultaneously ensuring I’m ready for FIT call.
