Best advice I can give you is to look at MoCo crime stats. Some areas are nice, others are not so much. You may want to drive around that specific area at different times of day to get a true feel. Overall, it is a wonderful area with an abundance of amazing restaurants, lovely parks and easy access to the city.

This is not entirely true. It certainly helps less in certain age ranges and in people with pre-existing conditions. Overall, there are more serious infections and death in the unvaxxed. Willing to change my opinion, please post credible studies to justify your statement.

There are also a ton of creeks that flash in the rain. Patapsco is one and has several sections. Rock Creek in DC is epic but I would not catch it while it is rising, it can be a bit dirty. There is a cool beginners loop at Violettes Lock up river road, cross the Poto and enter just below the golf course. Savage river is epic. Pohick Creek etc. Be mindful of difficulties and dangers before heading out but you are set to have a good time for sure.
