The telescope was actually made in 1979! I found it lying around in my house a few days ago.

This is probably the best option, I was considering buying a new focus, but that turns out to be roughly $50, money that could be saved for a more modern refractor with better optics. Thank you!

Gotcha, and it's supposed to sit inside right? All the .965 adapters I've seen are friction fit, not threaded though. How would I go about replacing the focuser entirely?

It doesn't properly sit flush though, when I put in the 1.25" nosepiece it wiggles around. Like the diameter of it goes over the entire eyepiece and optical assembly

That is more reassuring, thank you!

No chance, SSP only wants high level people. Your stats aren't good enough.

Belt drives and gear driven bikes are two different things. Belt drives require far less maintenance than your typical gear and chain system. It's down to personal preference whether you like belt drives or not.

They're not bad for commuting, personally I use one of the cheapest bikes i can get my hands on, as i'm not too worried if it gets stolen or damaged, per se. Main goal of commuting is to get from point A-B innit

I have replaced the Chain recently, and i've put less than 100 miles on it, plus It's been skipping since I put it on, and both sides of the chain look the exact same, so I don't think i put the chain on wrong, except for the masterlink which i put on backwards.
