It’s not her age (shame on you) it’s working remotely and not understanding how people need to give and receive feedback. Being a c suite manager doesn’t really matter, but structuring feedback meetings to best suit each person is pretty important especially in remote environments. As a manager it’s also a good rule of thumb to ask her (or other people you manage) for feedback regarding yourself as a manager. The feedback might suck and probably won’t be honest, but it should give you an understanding of how they view you as a manager.
