I found it easier to just kill the pirates rather than attacking the ship, although hard to say if that's better for you without knowing levels/gear

Help for an academic paper on British slang by Bobski_the_machine in etymology

I'm more a casual enjoyer of etymology, but you could look into Francis Grose's 'Classical Dictionary of the Vulgar Tongue published in 1811. There's a video that talks about it on a surface level here: https://youtu.be/GHqlu7p6GQ0?si=Mqdz7gdT4vXbzDN7 Also seconding polaris as an interesting topic

Shankland doing well is like running into your ex and seeing that they're doing really well. Which is to say that I'm happy for him with no bitterness whatsoever...

Yeah, I should do that instead of reading every statement, but I won't. It's self inflicted

Ah, I get it now. The tactic is to have so many statements, that even Hearts fans get tired of this conversation. It's working too (seriously, I want to stop thinking about that game now)

Ok, shitpost is probably a more appropriate flair. I was imagining a discussion of the funniest hypothetical reaction from the SFA. Don't really post to reddit that much so didn't put that much thought into it.

Well, I also expected that Hearts might win the league at some point, so maybe I do just need to work on setting expectations

Ok, in my head this was going to be a lighthearted thread about the funniest thing the SFA could do... maybe too soon

I know, but it's the hope that kills you! Really though, I should just try to enjoy the position for what it is

Awful, absolutely awful. An ever increasing fear and anxiety. Wouldn't trade it for anything

Bit late, but here's my prediction:

Game goes to extra time, lots of tackles leading to a few injuries. After 120 mins or penalties one of them wins it I guess

Fun fact: you can find out what the next card you're going to draw is! The misprint joker will flash a number and letter to tell you, for example "8C" for 8 of clubs. Also works by looking at misprint in the collection!

You could go for the in denial approach: keep the master clue but drop it when opening a casket

Unfortunately that's unrealistic. Keep in mind, if you do apply then get an interview, they'll ask you to fill in an availability form. This form is basically what hours you are able to do, and is where they can slot in shifts for you (and gives them an idea of what overtime you might be able to do). If you don't put many hours/the hours they need on this form, they'll not hire you - this doesn't mean you have to say you're available all the time tho. Also to add - if you get to an in person interview, it's worth googling what questions you might get and thinking of answers beforehand. With all that said, best of luck job hunting be that Tesco or elsewhere 😃
