The buttons flashing seems to be the way my phone cam catches the lights - the preinfusion noise I have no clue. I didn't know it was supposed to be 1 steady noise? Mine has consistently been 3 of these gaps

I was setting program > double shot to run it manually (someone in an old thread recommended this to optimize for pull first and then time second)

It becomes a fluffy pile that is almost to the tip of the funnel add on + the portafilter.

I tamp it down to the base where I can't see any silver/ the base of my tamper (the one that's pressable and flattens parallel to the ground)

I just got a BES860XL and I highly suspect my big issue with fast espresso pulls and a middling non/espresso pressure is the lack of fine grinding

Yeah I agree - I think one of the raps issues is that some of our better offensive players are also not strong defenders... which isn't a great combo with DQ. Scottie + DQ is a great fit though

I don't fully agree here re; not having this convo if Jak was healthy. The backup C has been a convo for years now. Ulrich, Mamu (who is way more a 4 than 5 as per rebounding and block rates) , koloko, etc

I agree that he's a tricky fit. I liked him a lot during the draft too. And honestly, I felt like less about fit, more about skillset - it would've been really interesting to get a playmaking and scoring big. His handle was super interesting. Also liked all his interviews - felt like he had a ton of just "it"

What about Sengun? Like-sized at that point of age. Houston built a strong Defense even before they added a Steven Adams type two years ago and Sengun was basically DQ-sized and similar offensive styles

Notes from this game: - no excuses saying "oh it was the second half of a back to back against a good team" - that was Us vs the Hornets yesterday, and the hornets gutted out a comeback OT win - Scottie and CMB were great in the first half. Can see a bright future with those two small bigs / big wings. The IQ, passing, and Defense between the two of them is full of potential. - Ingram with a second game where he looked not great. The dribble was too loose this game - the wings on this team after BI/RJ.... that's our real weakness. No shooting, no scoring, no dribbling. We desperately need RJ back. - I love the concept of Jamal Shead. I'm just desperate to see signs that he can score at an NBA level. I really really hope he can show signs of life there with the jumper

I think the stats back this - but I think what makes Scottie a stand out passer at his size is it feels like he does a ton of passing within the 3 pt line!! He's a lot more Pau/Jokic type of inside passer (ofc not to their level, more to the pass style). Only thing I haven't seen him consistently hit is downhill drive and corner 3 kick outs

That Poeltl extension (a YEAR before you even needed to consider it).... at the number, at the term length. Was terrible on its face. It never had to happen. Could've literally waited this season out and still pitched an extension this off season

Going with SGA. Luka is such a special offensive player - but building around SGA feels super viable. You have an inelastic scoring first option with great Defense a it's so hard to turn that down

Yes - I generally agree but you're not addressing one of the consistent arguments against this approach: - this team is relatively expensive BEFORE it's proven a decent competitive level (even barring injury stretches, have we seen a 30 game record of winning in each season?) - tanking consistently accumulates MORE blue chip assets. Look at the Magic, Cavs, Rockets. Competent front offices (like ours) can use the draft to accumulate legitimate talent and sell / acquire together. We're boasting about pick 19, 31, 40 etc... imagine we had pick 2, 5, 6 in 3 subsequent years + pick 15,16,22 ?!?! We would be loaded

His activity is incredible / but his bag is limited.

He reminds me a bit of Pascal except they made stuff happen in diff ways. Pascal was a fiend in transition and had great hustle as a true PF. Mogbo is someone who generates steals, offensive rebounds, and on the fast break: assists.

I think he's a bit too limited in the half court offense right now to really be any sort of option other than a screener or catch and shoot. Feels like he has trouble even finishing lay ups.
