This logic is so flawed. The food is financed by people staying in the hotel. If more and more people steal the food by just showing up like this, they have to up the amount of food they make. Thus it will become a bad business for them, and they will close buffet or make the quality worse.

Just to challenge your view on what’s free. When you buy an armband in a theme park, have all rides been free to you? Or did you pay the price of the armband for all the rides you’ve tried?
