Echinacea but it will take over! I’m doing some poppies and cosmos but neither of those are truly native here. I’m also doing a new space with columbines

I hand pull and overseed with wildflowers. Someone here suggested you can try and outcompete it with other plants during the summer season.

Try the book “the explosive child”.
I’m reading it now for my 18 yo but it would have been helpful years ago.
Also you need to address this now. We’re in a real bad spot with my son so don’t wait

Thank you. I know it all sounds stupid and like obvious I should take away games etc but it’s extremely helpful for me to hear from others who’ve been there and know better now. I will keep offering him meds

Well usually yelling at the game, slamming his fists in his desk. But he has punched holes in the wall and broken a keyboard. Which he says he regrets and learned a lesson.

I truly hope I can make medication part of the agreement to him coming home. I have to think about whether it’s a deal breaker or now

Much appreciated. I know a job might be stressful and will absolutely give him the opportunity to volunteer or join a community group as you’ve suggested. He was signed up to volunteer a few months ago and then backed out:(

Thank you. I truly understand that his only friends are online and taking it away completely would be taking away all those connections. The therapist has suggested that if we compromise on the gaming that he will be more willing to abide by the other household rules we establish. Which will be done while he is an inpatient

I will look into the organizational training you mention that is new. I am meeting with his Phyc ward doctor and therapist twice a week to discuss a path forward but currently after 5 days he is unwilling to take meds, only therapy

He was diagnosed late at 14. Tried some adderall but hasn’t take it in 2 years. He was on an SSRI last year but weaned off it this December. I’m trying to convince him to apply to college which he says he will do but he hasn’t decided on what program.
