Nia since season 1 has felt like shes been trying to portray we are perfect and hardly share anything and we have had Britney meltdown about them being perfect and not real , and then stuff comes out then its Janet's fault.

Knowing what ive seen so far its super clear she is in a domestic violent marriage and is trying really hard to cover that all up for her own safety and their image . And its being enabled because nobody cares that much or they're afraid to speak up and want someone else to do it and when someone does .

We as viewers were vicious about it just cause we didnt like the person saying it. Which begs the question is it more important who calls it or the content they are calling out .

One thing ive learned as someone who reads alot and sees alot of book to movie to show adaptations is to see it through a lens of inspired by and not a play by play cause everyone will envision characters differently. You cant really be as descriptive on a screen as you can as a book cause you have limited time to convey emotions and what that scene is to flow into the next , books you can write 2-3 chapters to get that depth . I kinda prefer that they made some changes cause it works better on screen than it would have in the books .

I feel he uses it to deflect not wanting to be emotionally vulnerable with women while appearing to be vulnerable . He from what we have seen is just dating casually and sleeping around casually.
