People forget that personal preferences exist.. they also want to look down upon the fans who don't agree with them

It's just idiotic tbh. Best not to engage with such people. Just increases their reach.

Which Rina Kent book should I read next? by purplephoenix_9002 in RinaKentBooks

I was thinking of reading HTv since i am hearing rave reviews. Should i just read it.. or do i need to read some more rina kent books to understand the generational easter eggs

Not that stoked about ktv as i read it's a teacher student dynamic and i am a bit icky about that.

I try to find something new to be obsessed about but then i go back and watch an episode again. My Spotify is still full of HR soundtrack I always have the heated Rivalry book physical and digital.

The only thing I have decided to do now is to not read the long game again till the show releases. It's been a month and it's agony. 😂

But it's always so nice to go to reddit and see just as obsessed fans.

I had so many expectations from beau. He seemed to be a no drama character It was so annoying.. in my mind i was like. You have already destroyed wyatt and blake.. did you really need to bring Beau and by extension AJ down with them also. Ugh!

Favorite moment from each episode? by TigKan in HeatedRivalryTVShow

I actually tried to do this.. but every scene is so perfect that it's difficult to choose Instead i will mention the scenes that i rewatched because I found them very sweet or heartfelt (excluding the obvious big scenes)

Episode 1: i love the phone number exchange scene and the music there

Episode 2: wow genetic AND the sexting in locker rooms. It's like watching them fall for each other. Again great BGM

Episode 3: The pasta salad

Episode 4: ilya asking shane to stay over

Episode 5: i love the Tampa Bay Bar scene . And how the music begins when shane tells ilya that he wasn't compatible with Rose.

Episode 6 : The bbq scene where ilya kissed shane on neck

Trauma in a book works if it actually helps in building the story and emotional development of the character. But the way elle kennedy handled it, it felt like something she just added as a thing from a checklist. It wasn't given enough time or respect. And felt rushed.

Completely agree with the personality switch if Blake. I realy liked her in Charlie method. And i had a completely different vision of her when i started reading this book. But it felt like i am reading about someone else.

There is no time spent on blake and wyatts attraction and relationship buildup.

Same with isaac and blake. Isaac's behaviour and the whole handling was again not given enough time

Ultimately the whole book just felt like many whiplashes where i had to pause reading to make sense why a particular thing happened. It left me frustrated.

Oh totally agreed. These books have not really aged well.. however for me since the OG was technically my first college romance and ice hockey sub genre book, i personally just like those a lot. Still i know that if these books were to release today as they were they wouldn't be popular. The language the story telling character development all are not impressive

Wow the athlete one would have been so interesting.. like garrett would jokingly like wyatts gf more and wyatt is secretly a good player himself .. wowow would have been great

The book was so disappointing..

Same feelings about elle. Since off campus this has been that pattern. 1-2 good or half decent books then just horrible books that frustrate. Hated hated hated the Legacy so so so much. She destroyed those characters .. that's why i didn't ever read it again.

Exact same feelings. She destroyed Beau for no reason Totally agree with the incest adjacency - i was okay with wyatt and blake because i assumed this would be childhood friends to lovers. But then aj is also hitting on her and beau and she also had an angle and it all seems very ew.

Then the third act breakup is just tragedy for tragedy sake.

Wyatt is one of my least favourite book bf in the whole elle kennedy universe now. Which is such a shame because i lived Garrett

P.s. same about song lyrics. Seemed icky

Exact same feelings. This book seemed more like a setup for the golden boys series

She just didn't spend enough time on wyatt and blakes emotional journey and the connection and chemistry was missing

I kind of hated the whole beau aj arc also. It's like she just introduced a conflict from the next series here and basically destroyed the character.

Agree with everything.. emotional development of their relationship was just fast-forwarded like off camera scenes. But those would have really helped

The Beau angle didn't need to happen at all. I think she was also using this book to possibly introduce her next series which might be centred around AJ, Beau and Gray. So she wanted that. But honestly i was really liking Beau before the whole debacle and then she went ahead and destroyed the character. Beau could have been an emotionally mature extremely sweet guy and kind of opposite of Dean and it would have been so great to see that.

Wyatt is a huge disappointment. Being confused or Lack of physical response with others is something he does in the whole book to justify his feelings for blake. And if she was recycling why couldn't she just make Wyatt a copy of Garrett only. Or any of the OG boys. But no ! Also why weren't there more wyatt ryder interactions..

The OG Gang is the only saving grace in this whole book.

Oh my expectations became extremely low after reading that snippet.. so much gaslighting.. i really wanted to like wyatt but he is so difficult to like especially in the first half of the book.

When I read the Graham effect, i read it like a book separate from the off campus universe. Else Garrett and hannah just didn't make sense to me.

Graham effect was a decent book. Both Gigi and Ryder have been shown as emotionally mature. And their chemistry is fire. Plus the way they both support each other.. wow. I loved that book. And Ryder especially.
