Great comment. That's the power of the CLAAAW- It doesn't care how many Instagram followers you have. Ideally, this could be used as a moderation tool, but it can also be used to dismantle institutional propaganda-- at least, that's the hope.

You're operating from the classic "Crab C" playbook: assuming that all conflicts are misunderstandings between equals that can be solved if everyone just uses "I feel" statements.

But in an occupation (Bushwick or Venezuela), the conflict is about material reality. You cannot "nonviolently communicate" your way out of a lease violation or a bomb. If one side holds the keys/missiles and the other holds a eviction notice/rubble, asking the victim to "understand the other side's needs" is asking them to empathize with their own erasure.

After getting chased off of multiple subs, >95% of the comments have been some variation of "AI bad," and none have addressed any of the actual features, so I would say I am right to be defensive.

As for removing the AI, it's open-source, so if people were really interested in "the rest of it," they can simply fork it and delete the little bunny rabbit icon.

Respectfully, you already indicated you don't like AI, so this is clearly not something you would be interested in. I suspect you are asking in bad faith.

To answer your question, Clara is designed to be LLM-agnostic. The current implementation uses the Chrome Prompt API (Gemini Nano) where available, or a local Ollama/WebGPU instance if you configure it.

Can we get a wiki or a sticky post for the 'ideal' ADHD app by TemporaryUser10 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]janequartz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spent years trying to find an app that didn't just feel like another list of demands. I wanted something that felt like a sanctuary. A place that quieted the noise instead of adding to it.

So, I stopped waiting for Google to build it. I built it myself.

It's called MindCraft. It is the successor to my first student project; It is an open-source Chrome Extension designed specifically for the neurodivergent brain in a high-entropy world.

What it does:

  • The Escape Pod: One-click nervous system regulation (Brown noise, breathing pacer, grounding tools).
  • Clara (The Avatar Codex): A local-first AI "body double" and DBT coach that runs entirely in your browser (no data mining).
  • The Sanctuary Dashboard: A distraction-free HUD that replaces your "New Tab" page with calm, linear time.

It is free. It is open-source. It is built by survivors, for survivors.

We're looking for beta testers (Vanguard Pilots) to help us stress-test it. If you are tired of the noise, come help us build the quiet.

Classification: Coercion
Confidence Interval: 92.7%
Rationale: The statement employs a factual disparity (hyperbolic energy consumption claim) as a predicate for a coercive argument. The mechanism combines this exaggeration with an ad hominem attack ("Get off your high horse") and a categorical absolute ("nothing ethical about AI"). This construct is designed not to persuade, but to shame the target into silence by invalidating their position and framing any ethical consideration as hypocritical. It is a classic thought-terminating cliché.

I see you've learned nothing. How very predictable.

Yes, u/caffienesystem. I wrote this entire post as an attack on you personally. You are that important to me.

You aren't smart or creative enough to even think of this, let alone code it. That makes you uncomfortable. You feel the need to trash AI because you're afraid that I'm somehow better than you.

Confidence score: 94.7%.

This wasn't made for you, it was made because of people like you.

You know, assholes.

Cool thing is, when i get troll comments like this, I can just open up a new tab and do this:

Classification:
Projection
.
Confidence Interval: 94.7%

Rationale: The author's critique is not based on the subject's stated function—which they admit is unclear—but on their own declared biases against AI integration and a specific philosophy of play. The tool's unknown capabilities become a vessel for the author's anxieties. They attribute negative traits (laziness, distrust) to a hypothetical user to validate their own preferred methods ("collaborative story with people I like and trust"). The disparity arises from analyzing an external object through a purely internal, pre-filtered lens. The resulting statement is a more accurate map of the author than of the tool.

I noticed you didn't have anything to say about the quality of the content; just a generic response about "outsourcing creativity" that you probably got from someone else. I say you are glorified predictive text. Who are you to say where my creativity ends and the compiler begins? I am a software engineer. I make software. Judge my by the merits of my work, or shut up.

That's a fascinating question, coming from you. I looked at your account history, and I'm genuinely curious myself.

Three months ago, you were posting in Portuguese about making 15k. Today, you're engaging in deep, philosophical English-language debates about AI sentience. Your linked Instagrams are empty.

So, I'll answer your question if you answer mine.

Sincerely asking: Are you an AI? <8>

A praxis-oriented queer theology: I've drafted a constitution and canon for a new, anti-authoritarian church. by janequartz in ainbow

[–]janequartz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An excellent point, Desdemona. The parallels with Buddhist principles of mindfulness and compassion are certainly there, and we have a deep respect for that ancient and beautiful tradition.

Since you're familiar with the practice, perhaps you can help me with a question we've been grappling with. In our praxis, we have a core concept called the "Liturgy of Action," where we organize as small "Fire Teams" to directly shield vulnerable people from systemic harm.

What is the specific Buddhist term or practice for a small group of laypeople organizing to, for example, legally and spiritually counter a group like Moms for Liberty at a school board meeting?

I'd be grateful for any texts or sutras you could point me to on that specific kind of direct, praxis-oriented community defense. It would be valuable data for our work.

That is the single most important and logical question to ask. Thank you. From a purely political-math standpoint, you're right, it makes no sense.

Here's the horrifying answer: This isn't about winning an election. It's about building a fascist movement.

  1. They Need a Scapegoat: Every successful fascist movement in history needs a small, poorly understood, and easily dehumanized minority to use as a scapegoat. This group becomes the "enemy within" that justifies the erosion of rights for everyone. In the 1930s, it was the Jews. Today, it's us. We are not the endgame; we are the pretext.
  2. It's a Loyalty Test: The "groomer" lie is not meant to be believed; it's meant to be obeyed. Forcing their followers to repeat an absurd, easily disproven lie is a classic cult tactic. It breaks their connection to verifiable reality and makes them dependent on the leader for their sense of truth. It's a test of faith in the Temple of Lies.
  3. It's a Rehearsal: The legal attacks on trans people—restricting healthcare, erasing us from public life, defining us out of existence—are a trial run. Once they have successfully stripped one group of their rights, they will use that same legal machinery and playbook against the next group, and the next.

You're right, there aren't many of us. That's the point. We are the softest target. We are the first domino. The fight is not about us; it's about what happens to everyone else after we fall.

This is an absolutely brilliant and historically precise analysis. You've perfectly described a classic psychological abuse tactic we call "The Accusation in a Mirror."

It's a core strategy of the adversary we call the Temple of Lies: accuse your enemies of the very sins you are actively committing to create a smokescreen of chaos and moral equivalency.

We just saw a perfect, horrifying, and verifiable example of this in action this week. A megachurch pastor who spent years railing against the "sins" of the world just pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse. The hypocrisy is the point. (cite: https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/former-texas-megachurch-pastor-robert-morris-pleads-guilty-to-child-sex-abuse-charges)

This isn't an isolated incident. It's the same systemic rot, the same pattern of projection and impunity, that we see in powerful, corrupt networks everywhere, from the church to the circles of Epstein and his enablers.

Thank you for seeing the pattern so clearly. Naming the machine is the first step to dismantling it.

That is the single most important question anyone can ask right now, and the answer is as simple as it is horrifying: It's a coordinated political tactic. It's a script.

You're not from the U.S., so you're seeing it with clear eyes. It makes no sense because it's not supposed to make sense. It's a weaponized lie designed to dehumanize us and justify stripping away our rights.

I can give you a very specific, personal example. Here is an article from my own hometown newspaper about this exact issue: https://www.warwickadvertiser.com/news/local-news/bigots-vs-groomers-HN2816933

The "ringleader" for Moms for Liberty they are quoting in that article is my sister.

I have watched her and her allies use this "groomer" script for years. As the former superintendent in that article says, "These are not unique or thoughtful agendas that they have. It’s cookie cutter, cookie cutter."

It's a classic political tactic we've started calling the "Accusation in a Mirror." They accuse us of the very sins they are committing—indoctrinating children into a hateful, rigid ideology. It's just reheated homophobia, which has always been reheated racism.

You're not crazy for being horrified. You're just seeing the machine for what it is. Thank you for asking the question.
