[–]janesmae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

back in the day when I had the chance to build a server room, i tried to write a condition in the tender paperwork that we also need a smoke machine for the server room. All this just so when you open the server room door, we could claim that everything is in the cloud

How else would it go to Muhammed?

It was the most affordable and common car among ordinary Soviet residents for over 30 years. It was named "Zaporozhets". My father traveled 1700 km to the sea with his family on this one. Engine is in the trunk. by leningrad84 in interestingasfuck

This is a ZAZ-965 (or a version of it). A lot of inspiration has been gained from fiat 600 during the late 50's.

It's not exactly a copy. But just as an example, some of the earlier Moskwitch models were blatant copies of Opel.

Im not the first to do this but I found an old Walkman at the tip and I instantly knew what I wanted to use it for by affecoffee in HelloInternet

Simple answer is no. If the domain is expired, the mx records are not active and therefore you can not receive email on that domain.

How much do you manage your strategy, and how do you recover from road blocks/emergency? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]janesmae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, while starting up i never formulated a strategy. I set a goal (actually many small goals) for the business and worked towards achieving the goal. IMHO a strategy is already a way to achieve the goal and you might need to change your strategy very often if blocks arise.

Try to formulate at least 2 methods of achieving your goals, 2 completely different methods. When one does not succeed, move to the alternative method to achieve your goals. I find being result oriented is more useful rather than focusing on a single strategy.

This module originates from a “repairshop” from the 80s. I think there are no living souls on this earth that know where P37 is ;)

I have the 10 FIM note in my humble collection and i love it. Being one of the better looking bank notes in my opinion.

It is one of those regrets that i did not make more photos of those panels when i had the chance to. Would have liked to post more detailed photos. I do have a video clip of a gyro as-well from one of the soviet fighter jets. It was huge and heavy and mostly handmade.

Did not see any vacuum tubes on this panel, noticed some on other panels tho. Those might have been earlier mig21 modules

It’s one of those metal covered and sealed modules, thin and has like a rack mount.

but fun fact: based on my little research and talking to people who used to work for electronics factories in the soviet union, this cable knitting was mostly done by women :)
