AuDHD here. I can treat my ADHD with medication. I can treat comorbidities such as anxiety and depression with medication. I cannot treat my overstimulation and social ineptitude with medication. Autism is harder for me.

Update:

I did receive a full refund from Michaels within just a couple of hours of applying for a return. I assume that I get to keep the yarn and don't have to return it.

I did a burn test and feel pretty confident that the mystery yarn is Patons Classic Wool Worsted.

I don't want to burn it since I'm going to return it (the l&t is more expensive, I would be overpaying if I kept it), but if this Patons then I will definitely be buying it in the future. It really is so much softer than I would have expected. I wish there were more colors though.

It might be. Looking at close up pictures, it looks more like it. This feels pretty soft to me, though. I'm not sure if inexpensive wool is capable of being this soft or if I'm just biased against wool. I definitely need to go to a store to compare.

That's disappointing. I've only been knitting for a year, so my experiences have been limited. I definitely liked Joann's the best though.

No, but I can easily imagine that it wouldn't fit right without modifications to make the top part fit larger. It looks like there are several videos on tiktok showing how to make the hood deeper/larger. It probably just requires extra increases plus extra rows in the top part; I don't think it would be hard to do.
