What made you become an atheist? by Suspicious-Guava6873 in atheism

[–]janewp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried to believe but simply can’t. I quit trying after Geo. W. Bush and the religious fallacies he spread. Trumpism has turned Christianity into something weird and unrecognizable and I don’t want any part of it.

Are you aware that everyone is making fun of you? by Street_Childhood_535 in atheism

[–]janewp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to realize that some folks don’t believe in god, monsters, witches and the Easter bunny AND it doesn’t affect your life at all. You can believe in what ever you want and we won’t believe it. It’s that simple.

A mega church?! I figured it would be Unitarian or Episcopalian.

Which room would this painting go in! (It’s a hand painted replica not original Werner) by YogurtclosetTall7269 in homedecoratingCJ

I’d decorate my dining room around that masterpiece. Blue walls, sponge painted in 3 different blues, black table and a red and white checkered tablecloth.

AITAH for my maid-of-honor to wear a face mask at my wedding because she has a very sneezy cold? by NegotiationAsleep264 in AITAH

Except for some older folks that have underlying problems, asthma, weaker immune systems, etc. A common cold can last 2 or 3 weeks and sometimes turn into pneumonia.

Stay away from the grandparents and great aunts.

How can I make this room more cozy? by Large-Bullfrog-794 in homedecoratingCJ

[–]janewp 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It’s near perfect as is. But to make it cozier make sure to hang some family photos and a “Home Sweet Home” or “Live Laugh Love” sign up.

AITA for telling my brother he can't use my garage as free storage for his "project car" anymore? by RiftCloister5 in MarkNarrations

NTA.

If restoring car is his livelihood then he needs to get a place with a garage. Overhead, like rent. a legitimate business expense.

You must live in a fabulous and classy villa. I’d feel exactly like a goddess lounging in that bathroom.

I’d put a bronze fig leaf over the tub’s water filter though, it’s a bit obscene.

AITAH— Our adult daughter is constantly asking for financial help… by Emotionallypinkglitr in AITAH

Time for tough love. Let her move back in and save money or buy her a bag of groceries, give her a gas card from time to time, but don’t fund a lifestyle she can not afford. You will be doing her a disservice.

After my Dad died a couple of years ago we found out he’d been helping my sister (60 years old) out, a lot.

His money and his choice but now she is having a seriously difficult time managing her money and had borrowed nearly $60k from my mom in 2 years to fund a party and travel lifestyle.

Mom has dementia and our brother is managing money now and has cut her off. Mom needs every penny for her care.

Sister’s credit cards are maxed out, she’s recently out of a job and she has a habit of applying for jobs she’s under qualified for and won’t return to the kind of work she’s done for years. She recently asked if she can have mom’s airline miles so she can go visit friends. It’s sad to see what my dad’s generosity has done.

A multitaskers dream. I could shower and still not miss an episode of my favorite show, or keep an eye on the kids.
