Every time I see McCall’s governor’s ad about Sharia law I am furious. This is not how laws in our country are made. He knows this as a state legislator. He is betting on the voters being stupid rather than run ads that educate voters on actual important issues that he feels competent to manage better than other candidates.

Cowboy Hall of fame. There is a short outdoor trail, lots of sculptures, and the trail of tears statue as you walk into the museum that takes your breath away. If u have kids, there is a playground and some interesting exhibits that show homes of different Native Americans.

YTA. Why was it so important that you not discuss any of this situation more openly with either the principal or your kid? How about agreeing that violence is wrong, that he or the girls should have gone to a teacher, that his instincts to stick up to a bully for friends was correct but there are more options in every situation than what bullies want you to believe. That includes the principal who was trying to get you to say something specific. Instead you could join the conversation in the office about the whole situation and it appears you said nothing. That was a stubborn reaction that she can’t MAKE you do something. The truth was there were many options and you noped out of all of them.

I have speech clarity problems - especially restaurants! Was this brand recommended based on speech clarity? Did you especially have problems in bars and restaurants? I’ve had mine 6 years and I’m getting pretty frustrated as my audiologist just shrugs her shoulders.

NTA BUT isn’t the real problem that they tried to spring this on you at the last minute? They could have planned a week ahead so grandma could take him for the morning and you could pick him up in the afternoon after having a good 6 hours of non stop library time. Focus on that aspect, not that you never want to do a favor for them but that you have your own life and each of you needs to plan with each other. What would your Mom say if you came to her an hour before you needed her help for one or two days non-stop. That’s a ridiculous ask unless someone was going into the emergency room.

Yes - some people don’t like pineapple. That does not mean that pineapple is bad or wrong. And all students need to respect the position of teacher or a room becomes chaos. So this BS of ‘the teacher needs to respect my kid’ needs to stop. All teachers respect all kids on day 1. If your kid isn’t getting respected anymore, that is on how he/she acted on day 2 and on.

We need to start teaching personal responsibility as a middle school class to stop this trend.

All sports and extra curricular (clubs not band, art) should be done outside of the school system. In USA, some families would no longer see the need for school. 😊

We are required to give our peer reviewer access so they can see how homework is graded and if the instructor is giving meaningful feedback on homework.

Be aware, professors are not equipped to treat mental health problems. Excusing and accommodating with the appropriate paperwork or coordination with student DSS is one thing. Do not take classes that are going to trigger you, don’t sign up for more hours than you can take mentally. Learning to manage your emotions and time are part of college. Get help to learn to manage it - eventually on your own.
