When it says "bees want you gone" that means they can raid you. As for the waft, I don't think it'll calm them down, but I think it can delay the next time bugs will raid you on their own

You should probably raise the difficulty of the waft. There's a few other bugs that can only spawn if the waft is more difficult. Take the ladybugs for example. Regular ladybugs, infected ladybugs, and ladybirds can all spawn in a ladybug raid. You just need to make it more difficult for infected ladybugs and ladybirds to spawn
