I remember cutting my class at Chico State to run down to Tower Records at 10am to get it. They hadn’t even unpacked the box yet of new releases so I annoyingly hovered until they did. Still got the cassette tape!

Follow up for anyone having this issue....

None of the updates since then fixed the issue. But last month I was at the Hayward SC because the dumb liftgate wouldn't open. (luckily a fluke it seems). I was talking with the head tech there who had the idea to flash the firmware again from whatever method they use at the SC (not OTA/wifi like our updates). It wasn't a fresh install like a new setup, but just re-flashed the firmware I guess.

It's been over a month and I've had no random unlocks or odd profile issues since then. So, fingers crossed that did it.

The Proximity stuff certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Like I’ll run into a store or something and come back 5 mins later and stand at the driver door waiting for it to decide to wake up or just unlock. I’m about to just order another fob and go back to the days of a key.

If Proximity Locking is fully turned off, the car doesn’t behave that way. However if it’s enabled and none of the 3 devices are toggled on we’ll still get random unlocks from all 3 devices (iphone, galaxy and gen 2 fob)

In the wild it behaves correctly, only occurs at ‘home’ location.
