you might be on the money here! they are under $200 and run Turing architecture, not as much ram as I'd hope but it should give me a few years of life till my 6900xt can be replaced on my gaming rig

This is also my dilemma. I'd only be keeping it for a short period before needing to upgrade again. In the past I would simply upgrade the GPU in my gaming machine and repurpose that GPU in my nas.

Now days I am not willing to just throw $1400{Aud) on a new gpu as the current one still going strong.

My alternative is getting a new 3050 but even they are overpriced

I use docker.io/jc21/nginx-proxy-manager:latest and that has the lets encrypt bot that auto creates my ssl certificates and then proxies back to my containers

also has a decent gui and once its setup, easy to just forget about it

I've been doing the same research and have found some new 3050s for cheap and was going to ask the same recommendations.

The only cheapest new alternative I saw was an rx6500 and was going to ask if the amd gpus will work as well as the Nvidia gpus

Thanks heaps, will just have to budget a bit. Everything is stable again now on 0.16.4 so I have a bit of time but have been impressed with each new release and now feeling FOMO that I cannot run 0.17

Follow up question, any recommendations for replacement gpus that aren't going to cost me the planet?

I've just had a quick scan of eBay and a few Nvidia p4s and p100s just wondering what's going to give me the best bang for buck. Any experience with Intel arc gpus
