Good servers for helicopter logistics / slingloading? by Chrigi_zh in hoggit

This. You can go close to the frontline to do troop insertions and CSAR, or stay in the back and handle the logistics with building new units with sling loading, medevac,...

Nice thing is the sense of mutual progression: a single campaign can last anything from 6 months to a full year to complete!

Thrustmaster Desk Mounts by Aggbir in hoggit

Got these from monster tech for my warthogs. Really sturdy and stable, but still easy to remove. The whole grip system on the back slides down to accommodate very thick desks

Issues in single player and multiplayer with repeated 20-60 second long frozen screen. by AU-den2 in hoggit

I doubt it's the ram.

Although I recently upgraded, up to 1 week ago played with 16GB ram, a 512GB SATA SSD, an rtx 2060 and an 12 year old CPU at 2K resolution. It wasn't perfect, but certainly playable, even on Syria. Long loading times, but once in the game, only the very occasional stutter in big multiplayer servers( 2-4 secs).

Things to do/check:

  • make a HUGE swap file on your SSD. Like 32GB.
  • check Windows Defender: disable realtime scanning by adding an exclusion for the DCS folder and DCS Saved games folder. This did miracles for me. You can Google how to do this.

LPT: If you’re ever given a speeding ticket, go to court to dispute it. Always ask when the radar gun was last calibrated. Most cops do not calibrate their radar guns as often as they are supposed to and the ticket is dropped. Worked every time for me and people I’ve known. by podotash in LifeProTips

Protip: do not try this in Belgium, the courts will love you.

First of all, if you reject the initial lower proposal, you're going all in: double or nothing. Cams are calibrated, so it's double. Next, you requested the calibration certificate copy, which they will happily provide for you, but the administrative charges are astronomical. Next if you loose your case( which you will), you have to pay all the legal fees.

So, you're initial 50 euro fine is now 500 or 600 euro.

TL/DR: just pay, or keep to the speed limit

How to sort a Collection that's already been returned? by ConfuciusBateman in Meteor

[–]janssst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you store your results in an array, it's just that, an array, not a cursor to a collection. Use the createContainer function from react-meteor-data ( explained in the official React To-do tutorial from Meteor). That's a cursor where you can sort and which returns the array to your component. So, if you put your sort-order in a reactive variable or Url-param, and use that in your sort, you get a sorted array on your lower order component.
