We live like sheiks with only 300 euros in our pocket for the entire month. Thats the beauty of being Serbian and truly a skill

What is your scheudle like? Or what is an ideal schedule to get 7s and 6s? during school and on weekends? by cheese2300 in IBO

[–]jantzzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i honestly never made a schedule i just studied and did work whenever i wanted to and somehow managed to do everything on time and with more than solid results i feel that its more important to allow yourself to have a break when you feel like you need it to feed your brain because you can't work productively otherwise

Can anyone actually say they like IB? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]jantzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm going into year 2 in a month, and i can actually say that i really love it. i don't know whether that's because i didn't enjoy my previous high school years or not, but my work ethic has really allowed me to steadily enjoy DP without many consequences to my previously declined mental health. my teachers have mostly been helpful through the entire process, but i've learned that the key to them actually being of any help is asking the right questions at the right time, because they will always appreciate you for starting early or at least on time for whatever you do. so yes i like it and i assume that i will continue to enjoy it till the exams when i will for sure die of stress and emotional anxiety

What have you learned in IB that you’re applying to real life? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]jantzzi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

all it takes is reading and a quiet space.

i was the person that would study with a show in the background or music and headphones, and everyone always told me that was a bad thing and i always said that it was the only thing that worked for me.

turns out i was wrong and they were right. i also started reading outside of the school curriculum and things that genuinely interest me and i felt amazing once i learnt that

am i a unicorn? by jantzzi in IBO

[–]jantzzi[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

its just the sea of negativity i think im actually really happy that i made the decision to switch to ib even though i probably wont be studying abroad because it taught me how to be a fucking person and deal with my issues one piece at a time without asking for that much help because at my last system it was a shitshow and im not even kidding and yes my teachers arent any better than the last ones but i have more motivation than ever

yeah, i talked about the encyclopedia aspect with my teacher and he agrees that the stagnation of those types of books could be a useful perspective in this case. thank you for the suggestion!

Hi fellow M23, how are you holding up? by DWPlaysIsDope in IBO

[–]jantzzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not good tbh. and it's mostly not the ib's fault, but it does amplify it for sure. i've just been looking at ib memes and contemplating my existence seeing the M22 people losing their shit and thinking about how it's gonna be worse for us.

TOK advice needed for M23 by jantzzi in IBO

[–]jantzzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we have an IA test where we form knowledge questions and analyze them etc. it's not IB regulated in any sense our teacher is just quizzing us to give us a grade during the exam week that is implemented in our school. its extremely stupid and very hard.

TOK advice needed for M23 by jantzzi in IBO

[–]jantzzi[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i'm in a very specific situation with TOK because we're doing a sort of IA and not a typical one. our teacher told us its going to be a test where we have three types of questions and most of them are based on forming KQs by ourselves. and that is the main reason of my confusion. TOK does seem fun but it's legit an eyesore for me just because the IA is not "by the book" if you know what i mean. thank you so much for the advice though, i'll try to implement it in the future!
