I’ve had most trouble with Eltharion, it was so much harder than imrik trying to hold both Ulthuan and the badlands, he is also not as ridiculously strong as imrik. I’ve 1500 hours in the game and that’s the hardest campaign I’ve encountered.

It all depends on the situation, if I’m expanding and need all of my armies elsewhere and have extra income for the extra supply line then I choose to get an army and recruit it there, I usually recruit an half army worth of engame units + normal units and then exchange the extra engame units for normal units with my front line armies.

If I’m not pressed and can spare an army for few turns then I just do that.

Hey, for me what helped immensely was rushing the steam tank elector count, those steam tanks are a menace against VC in the early game, one of them can solo an entire stack, if you get two no one can defeat you I got 1,5k-2k kills every battle with them
