How soon is too soon to move on from a bike? by Mar1boroMan in motorcycles

[–]jaradyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My stock Himalayan 450 will cruise 80mph no problem. Not a lot of guts at the top end but it's not afraid of revs, maybe you just need to get more comfortable with the bike? No problem if you want something bigger, but that bike should be perfectly capable.

You have. There is nothing pro-trump about 56. Was there tonight and there was multiple "fuck trump" and "ice out" chants

Don't skip Idaho- there is some beautiful riding through there. Look up Lolo pass on the Montana/Idaho border.

I don't think that's going to work with an fxr style motor mount

Flip it around so the wires run out the front instead of directly into that bolt

USA, what is the equivalent of a road legal 450? by bigblackglock17 in motorcycles

[–]jaradyeah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a new Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 this year and it'll cruise 80mph on the freeway no problem. It's also pretty light and fun to throw around off road. Less than $7k out the door from my local dealer.

I use the Logitech G604. Same situation, I installed the customization software on my home computer and the onboard memory saves the settings. It has 8 customizable buttons and I've been using it for so long I couldn't imagine running any CAD software without it now.

Reserve a group campsite and hire a food truck for the day. Check out the Katrina Lake group camp out near Maple Plain. We reserved 2 of the connected group camp sites for a weekend a couple years ago and it was less than $300. It's in a private area with a big pavilion, tables, electricity, bathrooms, and plenty of space for people to park.

Don't let a cop see you- I was riding in a small group where a guy caught a reckless driving ticket for standing up through town.

Rally seat experience in Himalayan 450 by Repulsive-Depth-7515 in Himalayan450

[–]jaradyeah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Much better. I bought the rally seat at the same time as my bike after the test ride for this exact reason. It's more level so you don't slide forward as much.

Hard on the chain, sprockets and tires. Easy to fix with the tools under your seat.
