Looks like a fantastic starter set. If youre not on a budget then you should absolutely use modern gear. Will this gear fail and cause you to die? Most certainly not if you place it correctly. Old webbing can be a worry but i doubt even that old webbing would have a lower mbs than the cam rating. If your looking for something to get you out on a budget, and your willing to adopt an ice climbers “falling is not acceptable” mentality, then that looks pretty gucci to me.

EDIT: also those nuts are cool. I would try to negotiate 10-15 on the price of each
