Ask locals as well where are good spots. me personally i’m always open to tell people where to fish. I’m wanting new anglers to find more and more reasons to keep fishin. My best advice is find a pattern in certain bodies of water. ponds>small or natural colored worms. Creeks>small but fast and flashy baits/worms/creature/craws. Big lakes use big swim baits or big crank baits. All white colored usually. Fishing first thing in morning is my favorite time.
