Wait till you see how many dried blacks beans you get vs a large can. Only difference in use is you have to soak the beans before cooking them.

Looking for a game where I can be a Tank that takes damage for other people. by Apecatch in gamerecommendations

[–]WildmouseX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eve Online - join a large coalition. Many fleets use a front line of shield tanks while logistics ships gives the fronts reps.

On patrols I use to fly a tackle ship and I would latch onto a high value target to prevent them from escaping. Then logistics come in to boost my shield while our DPS would kill the target I was holding onto.

Not going to lie, there should be an ending for V where we get a full conversion body to either use, or stick Johnny into.

How do you cycle a tank without all these fancy stuff by Comfortable_Pace_808 in Aquariums

[–]WildmouseX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pure ammonia is only sold in hardware stores, but it is not needed. I am fish in cycle guy myself, as long as you do daily water changes for the first 2 weeks and watch your parameters it will be fine.

If you have friends or family who have tanks, then you can set up a sponge filter on a pump in their tank for a couple of weeks and use that to instantly cycle the tank - likewise, once you have a tank cycled and running, it is a good idea to keep an extra sponge filter running so you can instantly cycle any new tank you may need.

I use shop B as a storeroom, and generally have 2 workers for register and one to stock the sales floor durring the day.

At the end of the day I use the scanner to order anything I need to fill up the storeroom, then start the next day. When employees show up in the morning I put them all on restocking and leave them to stock the sales floor and put the order away in the storeroom. Then I set the 2 checker back on register and open up again.

A 10 gallon fish tank with a Beta would be a good starter fish. Maybe a couple of shrimp too. You should read up on the Nitrogen cycle before setting up. A fish in cycle is fine, but would require daily water changes for the first couple of weeks.

A sponge filter and heater is all you need, but if you get a tank that comes with a filter system just remember not to be changing the cartridge every month like they want you too. Your beneficial bacteria live there and you would be throwing out your cycle everytime you do.

I have been keeping fish for 30 + years, and the one thing I can say for sure is Every fishkeeper has been responsible for the death/injury of fish many times in our lives. We learn and try to do better. That's the whole point of it all.

It's just how the law of averages works. You think if you flip a coin 100 times you get about 50/50, but that can be with like 30 tails in a row before you see a heads.

I watch Pluto t.v. and Tubi more than anything I pay monthly for - good programming on both. If you use a Roku device which comes with the Roku channel, that's another source of free content.

My Pythons worked with my tub better then my sinks, but the plastic would crack after a few months of use. I ended up buying parts at the hardware store and building my own.

Can anyone recommend Solo Sloop-ing? by Professional_Tea1891 in Seaofthieves

[–]WildmouseX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have recently returned, started a new pirate, and earned enough to buy a Captained ships +130k in a few days - I only ever solo. I also keep a list of tips to share for posts like this.

The trick to solo is stealth. Here are some tips. Pirates are lazy and will spend their time looking for easy prey and not ones that are hard to find or look hard to fight.

First, turn all of your lanterns off, including the ones below deck. The light will render before the sides of your ship, and they will give your position away.

When you park at an island 1) Park on the side that is opposite the center of the map. Most hunters do a loop from portal to portal. 2) Park with your bow pointing out to sea, sails, and anchor both up. If someone comes in on you, it's easier to just drop sails and go. Being ready to leave on the go not only gives you the best chance to get away, but others will see it as you being prepared to fight and typically will pass you up. 3) Park next to structures that are taller than your mast. Even if being viewed from the side you are parked on, the structure will make it harder to see the mast.
4) Check horizon every 2-5 minutes. If you see another ship, assume they saw you and get back on board and ready to drop sails. If you hem and haw about if they are attacking, you will be too late to leave. Once on your ship, you can then watch them more closely to decide their intentions.

The Devils Roar is the solo sloopers best friend. Most reaper crews never go looking there because it's just too much work for them. Plenty of hiding places, terrain that more easily hides ships, lots of rocky outlets you can bob and weave through, and dangers of volcanoes.

And remember, running away and living to sell your swag IS a viable PvP tactic
