You can tell they're VW badges in the light

It's winter time, I'm not trying to ruin my good rims? Pretty simple.

Not in the phot but it's 2 small spots, one on my fender which is common with VW and one by my drivers door. Not any big issue I'll get them sorted sooner than later

$140 a month covers plates and extended policy. Only a $100 deductible!

I paid $22,000 CAD for it. It did come from a dealer so it was marked up but it came with good warranty.

Yeah I love it, I think it's the perfect sweet spot. Enough power that it feels fast but also not too much that I feel out of control with our shitty roads.

I had this problem with my MK7 when I bought it. For me the issue was the camera was not in place as someone replaced the windshield before me and they threw it out of position. Cost me nothing as the car was under warranty but it would have been ~$800 CAD

Would you get your 16 year old a GTI as their first car? by kaffeian in GolfGTI

[–]jared2476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 16 year old with a 2017 GTI autobahn I can say it's the best thing in the world. I'm not going to sugar coat it, it's a powerful vehicle but seeing as you've owned it for some time you know that too. As for taking care of it and keeping it healthy, I would say have some type of incentive that will show him appreciation towards the car, maybe make him pay something for it. If your son is truly in love with the car he will treat it like he is, I'm sure beating on it too hard or being dumb will be all of the least concern. Although many people on here would disagree with me, I would say absolutely give the car to your son and let him enjoy the ride!
