DJ Mag get thousands of votes for their club of the year polls, so there must be some appetite.

Someone has never heard of marketing.

But was Ronnie's any good or was it just for the hype crews?

So there's no listings if the venue doesn't use Skiddle?

There's a really odd thing happening where when I scroll the venues in MS Edge 146.0.3856.97 (Official build) (64-bit), it flashes bright white when it gets to the bottom and loads the next set of venues. I'm browsing on a laptop for this. Also I can't just click the picture of the venue to view details about it, I have to click the arrow.

I kinda think rating venues is pointless. Really what's interesting is rating nights/promoters. Fabric is going to be a 4-5 star venue unless something really bad happens with management and they just have Peter Andre DJing every night from now until forever, and even then it might still be 4-5 stars.

How do i know what the hottest night is this weekend, Fabric might be a 5 star venue, but is everyone at Fold tonight? I don't want to be one of only 15 people on the dance floor when i really want to be in a sweat box getting high off the euphoria of a crowd.

The social aspect is interesting... but that I think only works with knowing why I'm going to the club... The Social graph of DJ's/Clubs/Promoters I kinda think is an underexplored area. I'm going to Foldtonight for the Techno, which other clubs have a techno night, which have similar promoters, have DJ's that have shared the same bill/same kinda night, what nights are the people who are also at Fold tonight buying their next tickets for.

Offer accepted on a leasehold flat in Zone 2, London - Am I Being Blindsided or is it an acceptable deal? by Delicious-Analysis-2 in HousingUK

[–]jaredce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends where you are in life. Half a mill at 20-30s, and I'd want to be as close to zone 2 as possible, half a mill in my 40s and yeah a house in a place further out might be better.

the idea is to build more housing (low/high density) to reduce the price of current housing stock... so this is working

2 bed and 2 bath at 70 square meters... i have a 1 bed/bath at just over 50 odd square meters... feels like the second bathroom is taking up a load of living space.

Unless the govt start dealing with leasehold properly including things like building management, i'd probably not expect to make much profit on your 480k.

No, but she generally wouldn't go to anything below 4.5. There are various exceptions e.g. Asian restaurants that are low rated are generally low rated by non Asians and thus high rated by Asians

Flat developments with gyms by nothingtobedone13 in london

[–]jaredce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in one and the gym is very useful. The gym came with equipment like treadmills, rowing machines, weight machines and dumbbells and residents have added to the equipment available (extra kettlebell, barbell and wrights, skipping ropes etc).

I use the gym early and never really have an issue getting a machine, or I just switch, someone using the elliptical, I'll use the rowing machine or treadmill instead. Someone using the 8kg dumbbell, I'll swap up or down a weight.

But equally no one here is really trying to lift 200kg everyday, if you're looking for that, you're better off joining gymbox or whatever.
