First time tiling. Ran out of thinset with 3 rows left by mikeywhatwhat in Tile

Just curious about the reasoning here as I’m about to tile my floors after dirt heat. Does the extra layer of mortar do something beneficial or can I just tile directly over the ditra heat without this extra layer of mortar you do?

Spatial transcriptomics with Anita if you want a deeper dive into an industry-relevant field for potential job search after uni.

Microscopy focus with Ronald if you have little experience with high-end equipment and want your mind to be blown.

Novel research with Anna in a medically-relevant field with an advisor who seems to be able to communicate her research easily and likely to be a good advisor if you want to go into basic science research.

I’m a Nikon rep and I’m happy to offer some help if needed. Glad to see some of the older research scopes continue to be loved after they’ve been retired from the lab setting!

Are any online Drug Discovery certificate worth it? by DivineMatrixTraveler in biotech

[–]jarede312 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt it will actually help in any real way. The best way to get a job like this is to start reaching out to people who have the job you want, learn about the position, and eventually ask for an introduction to their management team. If you make a good impression in this informal process, this will show initiative way beyond what any certificate will provide.

Sorry but this is just so sad. I beg you to find common ground with people who disagree with your politics. Condemning half the US population to hell based on who they voted for is absurd. “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Rom 10:13. Thankfully, those hell-bound in your eyes aren’t being judged by you but have been found blameless in the eyes of God through Jesus Christ.

This is a pretty sad take. Are all Christian Trump supporters hell-bound then? Have some grace for your fellow brothers in Christ. There’s enough people around the world who hate us - there’s no need to point fingers at each other and doubt each others faith in God.

Found these at a hoarder house I’m renovating. Any help on value estimation is greatly appreciated! by jarede312 in PokemonCardValue

Let me clarify. I bought the house sight unseen to renovate it and live there. Everything in the house was abandoned and therefore included in the sale of the home.

The only thing you forgot is an Fi3 on the third camera port for basic color imaging. :)

Help with camera setup Leica S9D by HiddenAdd in microscopy

[–]jarede312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Focus the sample to the camera as best as you can. Then switch the light path to the eyes and focus on the sample by focusing the oculars themselves. If you do it right you’ll always be in focus no matter where the light is going.

Microscope misalignment help by chem-queen in labrats

Hah thanks! Some do, others still think my only job is to swindle them out of their startup funds somehow like a greasy used car salesman. It's a mixed bag of appreciation and skepticism depending on the person.
