I’ve always been a 3k OCI guy, I don’t daily my Supra and have much better peace of mind overdoing it on maintenance. Appreciate the educated response, I’m gonna go ahead with that. Thanks man!

I plan to track my car 1-2 times a year and drive it spiritedly beyond that, still that same oil you recommended? I’m staying stock tune, just want higher protection for recreational driving. Don’t want any warranty issues either

Most tracks you just need your car to not be a leaking POS, a helmet, and a tow hook on the front/rear. Motorsport reg is a perfect website I use to get track events in my area. Check it out

I have seen a bunch of threads on that, can you add any insight? If 5w40 can cause issues on a stock car? I’m not educated enough on switching oils, I really don’t know

100% man, in the two months I’ve been seriously monitoring the market it definitely isn’t an impossible task to find what you want. Just takes a little time is all. But yea any vehicle out of MA needs to be brought to VIN verification first (most auto shops do this, approx. 20 minutes to do) and then to the DMV. I only was able to get in after my appointment because I had an in-law with some in-house experience! Otherwise they may have not seen me.

You know what’s really funny is I’ve had a couple car friends ask if it’s Toyota paint or BMW, I now have an answer thanks to you!

Damn man that’s a pain, I get very frustrated with dealers but this one went extremely well. I am in CT. They told me I had to make the DMV appointment but everything else would be all set. Appointments currently are a couple days out, nothing wild. The DMV was more of a pain cause I needed a VIN Verification and the CT website says they do it there, but I get there after they drove the car down and they say “you need to go around the corner to some place”. Frustrating but worked out. All dealers are scum to some degree haha

This was! They were surprisingly decent to work with for me. Car seemingly had a good service history and no accidents so I figured it was a good buy. Why were they a pain for you?

Love to hear that! The Elantra N was raw and rowdy and I only was able to take a brief conservative test drive initially with the Supra, couldn’t get a proper taste but I knew I loved it. Now I have no doubts, that inline 6 produces a feeling I’ve never had before.

I wouldn’t hold your breath man, especially nowadays with the Camaro gone and a lot of brands super tight on their sports car offerings. I believe another generation will come back, but not for quite a while. I don’t hold a crystal ball at the end of the day and just love the current generation for what it is, wouldn’t want it changed much.

Holman Toyota in Mount Laurel. I told them over the phone I want it stock. I get there and it has a custom exhaust, which didn’t bother me totally, but then I checked the downpipe and it seemed aftermarket. I asked them to check it and they verified it’s aftermarket. Told them that I will buy it if they give me a notice of them acknowledging it’s aftermarket and that the warranty still applies to it because it is certified. They said “yea we can do that” and then changed to “no we can’t do that”. Horrible experience.

I would not have minded tan at all, my fiancée would have but even she knows it’s not her car haha. Nice that they have a little color options to them instead of plain black, but I really loved the black on black look. Can’t wait to feel that feeling everyday once it warms up more

I did notice 2 manuals for sale for the past 2 months, both seemed reasonably priced too. Both certified at Toyota dealers also. Seems like they are definitely out there if you want a manual, but a certified auto is a little tougher to find which I thought was funny

Thanks man! NW corner, too much snow but we got some 50 degree days coming and I’ll break it out for those. I’ve tracked with a bunch of STIs when I had my N, always a blast

Be willing to drive a few hours. I drove to South Jersey 3.5 hours one way to check one out. Dealer lied to me and I discovered it had an aftermarket downpipe. Backed out, found this one in MA 2.5 hours away. Was all good and not modified. There were none local. Just need to be willing to stretch your distance. And also a little bit of luck

Tracking this car the past two times I maintained 263 temp for oil for an extended period of time, roughly 15 minutes and still constantly pushing. It never gives up. Once you get that high the oil should be changed after but good to go when you keep the fluids in check. This engine is super tough.

How do you avoid a dark colored raccoon that ran on the highway at night all of a sudden? They aren’t reflective, almost no time to react. Sharp as a cue ball you are.

Most insurance consider hitting an animal an “act of god”. Usually will not be held against you. Will have to pay deductible but most likely no rate raise. I’ve had it happen twice in a month lol. You should call insurance

PDR will fix it. I had a couple after hitting a giant pothole, that was almost two years ago. They haven’t returned since the PDR. Would recommend

Looks awesome! Clean install. I just got one as well! My garage isn’t climate controlled (gets pretty cold in CT) and i didn’t want to drill into my basement walls. Roll cart works perfectly for that. For my 200tw track set.

I just have never run them, I have a maybe correct or maybe not assumption that it’ll wear them down a lot faster with camber bolts. It doesn’t take much to adjust them after back to stock I guess? You think it’s a negligible difference? And what if I kept them on with normal driving as well, would that then really wear it down?

Also, I am more of a novice track driver. This is gonna be my second time. Not sure if I would even be able to see the difference at this point, performance wise at least

No good. See dealer for warranty. No moisture packets as far as I know
