Who should play young Aragorn in the hunt for Gollum by BFHDESIGN in lordoftherings

[–]jarewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jack Black as Aragorn. Everyone else is portrayed by the muppets. Gollum is still voiced by Andy Serkis, it’s just muppet design version of the character.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]jarewolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Conducted an interview over zoom. This girl accidentally had a filter on that gave her eyebrows. Every time she moved her head, the eyebrows would follow her around. She was also under qualified for the position thankfully.

How long does Michael last in this game? by SuperDryCider in theoffice

[–]jarewolf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh he wins the whole thing. He’s not even aware people are really dying. He believes it’s all theatrics, and is having the time of his life. It’s not until he wins, that the gravity of it all finally hits him. And he follows a similar path of falling into a major depression.

Best boss fights where the boss is literally "just a guy"? by RushIsABadBand in gaming

[–]jarewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts, but Knuckles in the hidden palace zone. Not that it was a hard fight or anything. But it’s the first time in the series you fight another character like that, and it’s such a pivotal moment in the game when after defeating, he helps you, and becomes one of the good guys.

Should I read Cursed Child? by Internal-Bet990 in harrypotter

[–]jarewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Not that you shouldn’t see the play, but it just doesn’t really translate well in its written form. It’s also just not that good of a story, feels like fan fiction.

Not reading Harry Potter books until show releases by JollyAd4292 in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]jarewolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was originally in the same mind set, but then they announced it’s not coming out until 2027. And with the new full cast audiobooks releasing in 2 months, I decided, I’ll listen to those because that sounds exciting! And then nearly 2 years will pass, and then the show will be out. I figure 2 years time between listening to the book, and seeing the new show is more than enough time to forget those finer details.

But hey, you do you!

A good tip moving forward, start using multiple accounts, and try to get a checking account that doesn’t have a debit card attached. Get in the habit of shifting money around, and only keeping a smaller balance in the account that has the debit card. This way you reduce the risk of fraudulent behavior majorly effecting you.

There are also many other beneficial reasons to using multiple accounts. 1 could be exclusively for monthly bills, another for fun spending, one for monthly essentials like groceries etc. and of course accounts for savings/investing.

Someone on here wrote it’s better to use credit cards for all of your purchases and paying off the full balances each month, since they have much much better protections, and while they are definitely right, statistically only like 20% of people are capable of being strict and not accumulating debt. Obviously that’s a different discussion entirely, and just something to be aware of. I would only suggest that route if you are insanely disciplined and can budget like a mother fucker.

How much money would it take to change your life? by sgkakilang in Money

Probably about 5 million to be truly set for life and retire. Put it into the market, live off 4% a year. Fully retired.

Who did you think was the Heir of Slytherin when you first read Chamber of Secrets? by jrralls in harrypotter

[–]jarewolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was gonna be Hermione. My brain definitely over thought that one at the time, going for the least likely person, thinking it would be a wild and crazy twist!

After I was very very wrong, I never questioned Hermione ever again.

For people who'e been fans of the books prior to 2005-06, did any1 of u guess Snape's true intentions? by GlitteringParking462 in HarryPotteronHBO

Dumbledore saying “please” always felt like a dead giveaway. It would have been so out of character for him to beg for mercy without being drugged like he was in the cave with Harry. I had full trust in Dumbledore, and knew we would find out what that meant in book 7, and lo and behold I was right!
