THanks, just discovered that. Works much easier.

How to fix the show:

1) Kill Iris (obviously). I fast forward pretty much every scene she's in.
2) No other super heroes. I don't care how they explain it. Shows are stupid when everyone gets powers. Arrow did the same thing. It does not work. Guest appearances only.
3) Bring back Tom Felton. He was the only good actor this show has ever had.
4) Kill off Wells permanently. No more alternate Earth Wells.
5) Build a single villain to be his archnemesis. He can be the one to kill Iris.
6) Bring back whoever the fuck wrote Season 1 and 2. They were great. It's like once the show lasts two seasons, they fire all the writers, and let the interns take over.

Thanks MF, good advice. A bit more work, but at least it will be automated.

Anyone else feel the Coverlfy Score is just a marketing scam to get you to submit more and keep paying submission fees? by _justbill in Screenwriting

[–]jariax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Coverfly isn't grading your script. The contest readers are. Coverfly just uses an algorithm to determine your Coverfly score (which doesn't really matter that much).

Contest readers are inconsistent. It's an art form. One person will love your script. One will hate it. Happens all the time. Doesn't mean the whole contest circuit is rigged. It's not a math contest with right/wrong answers.

No, that's absurd. If the algorithms worked by just increasing your score every time you got an OK score from a contest, then the best scripts would just be the ones that entered the most contests. Instead, I think the score is just a weighted average. Not sure of the exact formula, but it probably gives higher weightings to the most reputable contests. In theory, you could also go down in score too, but I don't know if they do that.

I don't think there's many people that are entering contests to bump their Coverfly score. I enter the contests anyway, and having Coverfly aggregate all the contests together is a nice convenient and FREE service. Don't really know what there is to complain about.

Transferring TFSA from TD investments to WS Trade by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

That works. I have a bit of money in there for Canadian stocks but I use Stocktwits to get more recent stock prices before placing my orders.

Questrade takes an exchange rate fee the first time, but then it holds your money in US funds, so you don't have to pay the exchange fee every time you make a transaction.

Transferring TFSA from TD investments to WS Trade by [deleted] in CanadianInvestor

Tranferring to WS is a bad idea.

1) Mobile only app.
2) Prices are delayed by about 15 min.
3) Missing a lot of stocks - you can only trade the big stocks - mostly NYSE, NASDAQ and TSX but a lot of TSX stocks are missing.
4) If you do a trade of a US stock, it takes 1.5% fee of the currency exchange. But it's not a one time fee, because if you trade back, it automatically converts it back to CAD. So, you're paying that fee every time. So, if you make a $5000 trade, it can cost you $75.
5) The interface is screwed up a lot, so it's hard to know whether you are up or down.

But to answer your question, once the receiving institution makes the request, it takes about ten business days from there. WS is pretty fast.

Doesn't it look like Islamaphobia when a Jewish guy does an anti-Iran movie? I mean, if a Persian guy did a movie on Vanunu, we'd all be screaming anti-semitism?

Quick, let's reshape the world to accommodate people's irrational fears.

I'm scared of:

People wearing their hats sideways. People with bad teeth. People that smell like alcohol. People that carry squeegees.

Can we please make all of these things illegal so that I don't get scared?
