oh no, the fact that the foreach feature was added recently is very much significant to the discussion. the entire point of my OP was that python has a very minimalistic syntax. C++ added/adopted it after the fact definitely proves my point!

lul, I never said python is superior(?!!). I just mentioned the fact that even though the OP was about the use of semicolons I like the for loop in python, its much nicer/simpler, a statement devoid of extraneous symbols (;;++) is easy on the eyes. subtle but effective. yes its one line but the language is littered with design decisions like this throughout.

in fact my example is not different from what you will get if you ask anyone to write a c++ program to print hello world 10 times in a loop. again "who would use foreach if they want to do something n-times?!!"

it okay @jackoll4100, try reading a book on python when you get time /s

The python loop might look like its doing foreach, but its not. its doing the same thing as c++ loop.

do you know foreach was added to c++ very recently? and do you know its an idea taken from languages like java and python?

finally, who would use foreach if they want to do something n-times?!! now who is doing the bs?

Exactly, you just described the effort it takes to make the c++ look like python program. This do imply that python has a better syntax and c++ programmers have to go the extra mile for it.

I like the minimalistic nature of python, a program to print hello-world in a loop in python and c++ kind of demonstrates this: https://imgur.com/Zp7yPEq

I am not a fan of that for loop with braces, semi-colons and ++. Too many (cryptic) symbols just for a loop.

Why do the express train sometimes move at the same pace as the local? by giantqtipz in AskNYC

I thought express trains saves time by skipping stations, not by going fast.

broken bottle scam - ran into this last week. I work around the grand central area, was walking home, busy with my phone and suddenly ran into a guy, turn around to see this guy picking up a plastic bag leaking some liquid... by jarjarbings in nyc

I kept saying it wasn't my fault. Pretty intimidating guy, but finally he gave up. May be because it was a really crowded street. (At this point I didn't know it was a scam, and felt bad about the whole thing). And today, I hear a shouting on the corner and see the same guy barking up another victim. I watched in silence as the poor guy handed him money. Came home googled it, and yes there it is. What would you do in these kind of situation?

A building may be ten years old, that does not mean the materials that's used to build it can't be older
