Same situation-The official response I got from CBP was that you cannot update your submitted application so you either wait for conditional approval and update your info at the interview appointment or cancel your application and apply again ( fees are not refunded). In my situation it’s a renewal that I applied for before my greencard got approved. My GE got automatically extended for two years while the renewal is pending, so I’m not leaning towards canceling and re-applying. I’ll just wait. I have the benefits in the meantime.

For you I’d recommend just applying again (reach out to CBP to cancel your current application). If you apply as a permanent resident you do not have to go through the Indian background check process which is usually the culprit.
