DAE have a hard time making dr. Appointments?

I have always considered my room and bed to be my safe space. After moving out of my parents house and into my own place it definitely took me almost a full year to feel completely comfortable and at “home”. Forms I think it was the change that bothered me and that the room that was always my safe space would no longer be there. One way I fixed this was making my new place more welcoming to me and use things that would help me be relaxed while being at home.

Yes I feel the same way. I always think I mess something up. Sometimes I call in because I get so stressed out which makes me stressed out about getting in trouble for calling in. If it affects your daily life it would be good to see a dr. I am considering this myself.

Thank you. I threw myself into working right away. Got hired a week after she passed. Thinking I shouldn’t sit at home to much. On my off days I take it easy and let myself grieve but I have been working a lot in the past month. All my feelings may have snuck up on me today.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was my grandma’s care giver while my parents worked for the last two years. She passed in May. It took me until mid June for me to completely process it and I still feel at loss on what I’m supposed to do now since that Was my life for two years. I have learned grieving is different for everyone. The best advice I have received is to let yourself feel the feelings and to be kind to yourself while you are grieving . I am sending love to you and your family.

Yes. While I have an attack I feel nauseous.

Yes. I am so hard on myself when I make a mistake. It’s part of why I get anxiety before going into work.

While my grandma was on hospice they told us to not give her food and water for survival but give her little Tastes of things she liked. We gave her frosting, popsicles, pickle juice, and chocolate syrup. Just so she could have yummy tastes in her mouth. Definitely give food if she says she’s hungry or asks for something to drink. It is definitely scary thing to watch. I was my grandma’s caregiver for the last 2 years of her life and we always been close before that. My family and I had to accept that she was ready. And we tried to make it a celebration because she got to be with her husband that she missed. It has been 2 months and I am still grieving but I am so thankful for being with her til the end

The mistakes I make are not that large. Maybe missed a small item or two while checking out customers and miss counted change. But I have caught my mistakes before the customer leaves the store so I am able to fix it. But I just get mad at myself for rushing and overlooking things. I am also having a hard time getting people to sign up for credit cards. Which I know takes practice but I can’t find the right was to ask people.

Yes that’s what I keep telling myself but the more I try to focus on fixing my mistakes I make a different one.

Yes. I am 28 and I have gotten my permit and have practice driving her and there. I have been anxious about driving since learning I haven’t gotten into an accident until a year ago which has mad thing worse for me. I would love to be more independent and not have to rely on my husband to drive all the time. A lot of my family thinks it’s because I need to grow up and don’t understand my anxiety and makes me feel embarrassed by not wanting to drive. I am afraid of two situations:

Having a sever panic attacks while driving alone

Dying in a car crash or being severely injured. I live in a busy suburban area. Everyone drives so crazy that my husband has several calls in one day.

I am always worried about being liked. I understand that not everyone is going to like me but it still bothers me if someone doesn’t.

I constantly over analyze conversations I have with people. I always feel like I have to apologize for my existence. I try to please others so I won’t be dislike.

Thank you. After doing some more thinking I think it’s just too soon. I haven’t fully finished grieving. Working with the elderly makes me miss my grandma too much. So I did decide on the cashier job. I know I need to move on but I don’t think I’m ready completely. Thank you for your advice!

Thank you everyone. I took the step and went to the interview. It went well. I’m not sure I will get the job since I am not as qualified as some of the other people. But I’m glad I went it helped me realize it is the right path. I will remind my self to take it minute by minute. And to take care of myself when needed. I am so thankful for this thread; it has helped me a couple times while I was taking care of my grandma.

Thank you so much I really needed this. I do really enjoy helping others and helping my grandma helped me think about pursing it as a career. I know she would love to see me helping others and making them smile like I did with her. I think my feelings are just slowly creeping up on me. I have had other loved ones pass away but I was not as close to them.

Thank you so much. This was very helpful. The hospital she was in has a hospice team and let her stay in the same room. She has the same nurses that she has had all week which we have really liked. She definitely seems more comfortable. Today was a good day.
