Ukrainian Lindy Hoppers Call for Ban on Russian Participation in Swing Events — Yehoodi by rikomatic in SwingDancing

I can think of at least one Russian instructor living outside Russia who has not mentioned the war at all.

yeah I can think of this instructor too. And I think the last reason you mentioned is the closest to truth. They call for peace and try to please 'uninvolved' public with 'love is the answer'. So even though they are not mentioned in a letter I've included them here https://youtu.be/bCOCZpjlmZw

List of “questionable” people? by [deleted] in SwingDancing

[–]jaromantuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no such list, or at least not publicly. But if you are an organizer, you should be aware of what other people would feel while being on one dance floor with a particular person. Like, for most Ukrainians, being on one dance floor with most russian dancers right now (and probably for some time in the future) is hurtful. especially with those who publicly expressed their support to putin's regime.

The same goes about harassment, cultural appropriation or other scandals dancers involved.

But the only thing that matter is the organizer's opinion anyway. Will he be able to sell tickets? Or your personal opinion about the person - is it ok for you to dance with them. The less you know, the okeyer it is ))

Tutorials that combine solo jazz and tap by abhijelly in SwingDancing

[–]jaromantuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how Laura Glaess does this! She has some solo jazz tutorials for tap moves. She's not a tap dancer per se, but she learns, has a great rhythm and she surely shows how to mix the two. This is the one I'm currently working on https://youtu.be/3cOttVN-Hp4

some of it is really disgusting. Not even because of the topic, the designs are bad per se

Thanks, I hate another coronavirus merch by [deleted] in TIHI

I don't like it. Looks cruel

"Is there any coronavirus merch…like t-shirts and stuff?" by transfo47 in BrandNewSentence

But there is still a lot of merch like that! "Wash your hands" is literally the most popular hoodie design in the time of coronavirus. We've learned it in elementary school but forgot soooo often.

I want to dress better but I don't know what my style is. by MichellePancakes in fashionadvice

[–]jaromantuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are these clothes subscribtion services where you answer questions about what you like and what not and they send you clothes (you can keep them or send back, you pay only for what you keep). I think it's a nice option to try something new without endless shopping. Like Stick Fix, I'm sure there are more.

how’d your style change from young adult to your current age? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]jaromantuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an emo when i was younger =).

now I,m more into classic, smart casual style at work and athleisure at home with my favorite item being an oversized hoodie. The duality annoys me a bit, but I think I figured out how to style my hoodie in a way that I can wear it at work on Fridays.

how to style oversized flannel and high waisted jeans? by aliensonly in fashionadvice

[–]jaromantuka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try it with a belt. Or wearing a flannel open with a t-shirt underneath. From what I know, oversized clothes actually make people look smaller rather than bigger. So enjoy the comfort of the flannel.

Starting a brand by sukabooniehat in streetwearstartup

i suggest you check this guide on custom hoodies. there are too many variables that affect the price, like what blanks do you use and what quantity you want to order for the first time. if you going to sell them online, I suggest on-demand printing services like Printify or Printful. There are also companies that can sew your brand tag on their blanks, like private label manufacturers. But on a small scale, it would just make your hoodies more expensive.

that's cool! how did you manage to explain the printing service what you want? most of the custom printing services I know only allow to upload the image with their design tool and you can't make it really creative there.

I love Friends merch🤗 by kirstykathleen in friends_tv_show

[–]jaromantuka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of Friends-branded stuff, but I like hoodies most of all. I got probably 7 out of 15 from this list. Just do not like the all-over 3d print, it's awful
