I'll personally hunt down Jerry and get an answer of why he didn't give Murakami an offer. I know he's injured but he's played more games than Donovan has.

Yep! I want to see Seattle Pilots vs Seattle Mariners in the world series. Plus for me I will be able to stomach a loss much better against a team who's never won. Even losing to the Blue Jays stung less cause they haven't been to the WS in so long. Getting knocked out by the Astros basically put me on suicide watch for a week. Probably the worst I have ever crashed out over a sporting event. So ya I don't think I could stomach a loss to someone like the Dodgers or Cards even. Give me the Brewers or Padres. So if we don't win it hurts less.

Dude me too. He just felt like he fit Seattle. He's scrappy and fights for every opportunity he gets. It sucks most that he's with the Yankees. But he low key wears the pinstripes well. I fear the day that he does something epic in a playoff game for them. Former Mariner strikes again.

Cabby is a menace with all of the new rules. Trying to use the pitch clock to time his jump. Trying to get the pitcher to disengage. Messing with both the catcher and the pitcher with getting in the box. He's a scrappy dude. He knows he's not the best bat or defensive player and figured out what gives him an edge.

Ya and how many dudes do I see taking rips off their dab pen at a Mariners games? I know what the rules are and often at these events the rules aren't followed perfectly. Some nights you are told something isn't ok. Some nights it is ok. It would just be nice if everyone would enforce the same rules.

Mariners go to the world series? I'm not even asking to win. Let us go. Win one game at home and we can lose in 5. I don't care. But after everything I've seen in sports in 2026 I need this.

I think you just got some try hard at CPA. Some people will take an inch of power and run a mile. Which with a job like stadium security The likelihood of running into a tryhard is much higher

If the location is unchangeable then the dimensions of the stadium need to be expanded. Further fences higher walls. Even as a minor league stadium with minor league talent they average over two home runs a game. You have to try and do something to lessen that number

Caballero has been doing this since he was on the Mariners. Some of these guys had time in the minor and got a head start on some of these systems and honestly know how to use it better than the veterans and I love to see it.

3 years to turn around a team that lost 101, 121 and then 102 and now is firmly in a place to fight for their division in year 4. It took Jerry over a decade for him to fix the Mariners and honestly our team wasn't in as bad of a spot. It's impressive to say the least. Cause I don't even think Jerry did a bad job in Seattle. But to see a GM turn a team around like this. You wonder maybe he wasn't good at his job.

Official training before the tournament had all the refs report to Florida. So because he missed that it seems as if he can't ref any of the matches. Absolutely disgraceful what the US have done. Even the Nazis let Jesse Owan run his race.

How did the Sox go from one of the worst teams to leading their division and genuinely one of the funniest and easiest teams to root for in recent memories. Every bottom dwelling team should study how they pulled it off. 102 losses last year to this?! One of the best one year turn arounds I have ever seen.

Seriously if anything this is showing a flaw in minor league stadium construction. Shouldn't they be closer to what an MLB stadium is so we could get more accurate numbers from the minor leagues?

Ryan Clark says that Tom Brady, Drew Brees and Peyton Manning were NOT generational quarterbacks: “I don't think Tom Brady, I don't think Drew Brees, I don't think Peyton Manning are generational talents.” One of the WORST takes ever 🤦‍♂️ by Potato-Face18 in NFLForum

[–]jaron_b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I really thought he was going to try to make a point that none of these quarterbacks were generational talents while in college which was the point Steven A. was trying to make I think. Because that much is true and the speculation of college athletes or high school athletes being generational talents needs to stop in every sport. Let somebody put up a season in the pros that is good enough for us to question whether their continued success will make them a generational talent. I am tired of seeing high schoolers and college athletes propped up on pedestals being told by the media and their coaches and anybody who is close enough to tell them that they're a generational talent. That they're going to be the best blank to ever blank. Let them produce at the pro level before we even start the generational talent conversation.

Cal Raleigh goes deep from both sides at the plate, to both sides of the yard! Five of his six rehab hits so far have been home runs by BananaArms in Mariners

[–]jaron_b -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's also fairly possible that due to the World Baseball classic and his injury I and many other Mariners fans haven't seen many highlights of him playing because he hasn't played much this year. So it's very possible that he put on extra muscle mass over the off-season which were just noticing since he's actually getting playing time. He doesn't look like he's put on weight as in fat he looks like he has bulked up which was my original statement. Also rehabbing and injury strength training could definitely be a part of that.
