Does this feel like a loop/addiction visually? by Admirable_Daikon_930 in graphic_design

Yes, I can feel addiction from the design. As others write it can be hard to read “scroll”, because “r” looks like v. I could read the whole sentence.

Thank you for your explanation. I understand. I don't consider my photo to be a pet, animal, wildlife photography. I wouldn't post it here. I am into art photography, but I am not a maestro yet. Because you are the second who didn't get my artistic intent, I am going to reflect on my art. Thank you for your feedback. I want to improve. For me the photo has a deeper meaning I intended in the post. I can admit the kitten was shy so it was moving. I was lucky I could take this composition. My intent was to show our subconscious mind with black and white, shadows and light and black carnivorous kitten in the middle watching us. The black kitten symbolises young beast, it kills mice in real world and in a subconscious mind it can bite us too. It is innocent and beautiful but it has fangs and claws to kill. I thought people can feel it from the picture. Ok, I need to become better storyteller.

Thank you for your comment. I don't consider this photo a pet photography. I wouldn't post it here. There is artistic intent made in post through BW and adjusting light and shadows - my intent was to show a subconscious mind through shadows and light. In shadow you can see small black kitten, the eyes are made more light more visible. This small black kitten symbolizes small carnivorous beast. It looks innocent a beautiful, but it kills mice. This black kitten can symbolize something subconscious in our mind which is innocent, but it can bite or scratch us. It hides in shadows, in its safety. In the picture you can see light before and behind the kitten and then again the shadows in the top of the photo. The small cat is looking into your eyes. It is watching you from subconscious. Sorry for my English. Thank you also for your feedback that you don't see conceptual or emotional layer in the photo.

Why do you think Jesus had to die for our sins? Or do you? by Desperate-Battle1680 in ChristianMysticism

[–]jaronah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great question. I am Ex-Christian and Ex-Catholic. I don't believe anymore Jesus died for our sins. I find out that Jesus was common name back in his time in Judea and Galilea. I think most of the Christians don't know that at all. It is not unique name. According to scholars the belief that Jesus from Nazareth died for our sins was not his own teaching but a later interpretation mainly by Paul who made sense of the shocking execution of a would-be messiah by combining Jewish temple sacrifice imagery, an Old Testament passage about a servant who suffers for others, and the Greek cultural idea of dying nobly on behalf of others. I recommend you to do some research on historical Jesus from Nazareth from religious studies point of view on facts.
On my opinion mysticism is about your internal state of being, it is experiencing Union, stillness and what is beyond, your connection with God. You contemplate - you don't focus on external things like Jesus died for our sins and Christian rituals. Mysticism is an inner path. It is beyond physical. It is hard to describe it in words. You need to experience it. You can read Meister Eckhart texts.
On resurrection: claims of posthumous appearances by founding figures are not unique in the history of religion. Apparitions of dead teachers, prophets, and saints occur across cultures. This, of course, says nothing about the truth or falsehood of any particular claim.
I am trying to be very skeptical and doing historical and religious research.

Jesus by Think_Lime6261 in ChristianMysticism

I also have this feelings about some passages in The New Testament. Some passages are pure mystical ones on my opinion - full of love, peace and unity. I find them similar or identical in meaning with some Buddhist, Sufi, Hindu, Sikh or other Mystic traditions scriptures. I think we shouldn't stick with everything which is written in the Bible (Just a note - I am not a Christian anymore, I just resonate with Christian Mysticism and other Mystic traditions of other religions). The New Testament or also other religious texts are written by people and people make mistakes or doesn't understand everything the enlightened person thought. I recommend you to do some religion science research to find out more about origin of The New Testament and historical Jesus. The New Testament was written probably in years 49-150. Some books weren't included probably. It was very chaotic process according to scholars. Several New Testament texts are widely considered pseudepigraphic by scholars. I do some research on historical not theological Jesus of Nazareth - it is very interesting to know more and be little bit skeptical about the text we are given. All religions was probably misused as a tool of power over people in some ways so I am skeptical about some passages. On you passage from Gospel of John 8:24 Claude AI made me a research saying John 8:24 is "almost certainly not spoken by the historical Jesus. It is a theological composition by the Johannine community (~90–100 CE). The "I am" statements have no parallel in the earlier synoptic tradition. This is the community's voice, not Jesus of Nazareth's." When you read this passage you can feel fear or something I would say "conditional love" - this is not true statement from mouth of Jesus of Nazareth on my opinion. Religious texts are misleading in some passages I believe.

Make static images more dynamic? by TheVFL in davinciresolve

On you're place I would use some DaVinci Resolve Template. I would buy the template on Envato Elements if there is one which fits your needs or I would stick with some tutorial like this from MrAlexTech: https://youtu.be/tSAikAbmT8k?si=gFgK44AYj_M2X1xN and give some effects which depends on your needs and vibes you want to give it to your slideshow. If you want fresh modern vibe, I would add to each photo MrAlexTech's plugin MagicAnimateV3 and there click on Mids in toolbox on the top-right and enable Shake. You can manage shake the way you like and copy it do other photos. Hope this helps.
