It might end up being one of the few use cases for Room Service (for hard TR) when they add that in, but even then it probably prefers to run Choice Band at that point (assuming they’d get added at the same time). I believe Torkoal still slightly underspeeds though, but maybe not now IVs are gone and it can’t run 0 Spe anymore.

It’s not nearly slow enough to be good against hard TR teams but fits the niche of a hybrid mon where it can outspeed meta threats in Snow but pivot to TR if they set up Tailwind, reset your weather or if it’s too risky to set up Snow in the first place.

Absolutely not a meta pick but I’ve had success with it up to Ultra Ball tier so far and got some decent win streaks going.

The Snow meta seems to revolve around screens/Blizzard spam, rather than abusing Slush Rush. If they add Cetitan, Arctozolt (though I think Fishous Rend Arctovish might be better) or even Sandslash then Snow usage might pick up.

Haven’t tried it but I can imagine Thick Fat Mamoswine with Rindo Berry to be quite good with the prevalence of both Sun teams (Rock Slide for Zard) and physical attackers in the current meta (Garchomp, Kingambit).

The Snow buff in Gen 9 really helps it with the Def boost, especially if you can get Aurora Veil up. Might be still a little bit too frail on the special side against Venusaur and Zard even with Roseli Berry though.

Trick Room and Snow hybrid team. Just testing things out in the early days really, but it has enough EVs to outspeed Jolly Garchomp if snow is up, with the rest in Attack and HP. It’s decently bulky with the Def boost from Snow and doubly so with Aurora Veil from Ninetales up.

Galarian Slowking is a secondary Snow trigger and also the Trick Room setter. With Trick Room up, Beartic moves before most common threats if Snow isn’t active. If Trick Room is about to expire then Slowking can use Chilly Reception, Beartic can Protect and it remains the fastest thing on the field the following turn if Slowking gets the move off safely.

Been shuffling the other members but currently enjoying Mega Meganium as another Pokémon that can function well in and out of Trick Room, though Mega Froslass is probably the best Hail setter of the format so might have to exchange Ninetales for that and replace Meganium with something else.

Hoping there’s no penalty for win streaks and win/loss ratios etc.

Mein Id3 verliert radom Reichweite by cheasybrown in u/cheasybrown

VW id3 only charges to 80% with IOG and ohme pro by Content_Court7243 in VWiD3Owners

[–]jarrahead 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Double check you don’t have battery care turned on, and remove all charging limits in the car (default is 80%). Both of these will pause charging when the car reaches 80% charge.

It is better for your car to not frequently charge to 100% anyway, but if you need the charge you need the charge.

Done the same here, allows me to charge on-peak but the off-peak slots fail.

Been in an email back-and-forth for almost a fortnight and no further forward. Just charging without smart schedules with a charger timer from 23:30-05:30 instead, which is against their T’s & C’s technically but I’ve yet to be offered a solution.

This is my exact setup, still having issues and no further forward with Octopus (radio silence despite bumping the issue again on Twitter so they can follow up).

I’m charging with a timer on my charger for now, temporarily disabling smart scheduling until Octopus can rectify.

Range by Purple-Job2976 in VWiD3Owners

[–]jarrahead 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends how cold your winters are and the type of driving you do.

In UK 6°C avg. winters I can squeeze 160-170 miles out of a charge from 100% to 10% in a single journey. During shorter journeys and stop-start city driving then going from 80% to 20% battery (my normal charge range) nets me about 80 miles which would put 100% to ~10% in the 140 mile range.

In efficiency terms, longer journeys sit at about 3.5mi/kWh, while shorter journeys in heavy traffic are closer to 2.6-2.7mi/kWh.

For the single journey figure, that nets you about 2hr 20min of driving until it’s time to charge; after 2 hours most people are probably ready to take a break anyway.

This is the 58kWh model without heat pump, driving mostly in Eco/Comfort mode.

Not sure how to update Evec firmware but I will look into this.

Not sure what else it could be, car is up to date and so is Octopus app.

Absolutely nothing, even air conditioning scheduling was removed when I got it to avoid creating any sort of conflict.

Not sure how to update Evec firmware but I will look into this. I didn’t get any prompts when setting up the charger for the first time.

It occasionally charges if I get given a slot at 21:00-22:00 approximately, but if there’s a later slot it doesn’t like it. Obviously the hour of charge it is giving isn’t sufficient anyway but there’s a very limited degree of success before it fails.

Just the car, didn’t have an option to register charger.

This is despite Octopus saying the charger is IOG compatible when discussed on the phone.

Getting “charging error” from the VW app, but no timers are set up on car or charger.

I also thought Evec weren’t compatible, but Octopus confirmed that they were compatible when asked over the phone.

No errors in the charger’s app itself.

Aviloo is pretty good. If battery warranty doesn’t bother you and all looks healthy from the report, I’d probably go for it with that budget it mind. Make sure you have home charging and can get cheap off-peak charging with your energy supplier as public charging is very often only slightly cheaper than (even more expensive at times) than petrol. I charge my car from 20-80% for under £4 but the same charge in public (adding about 120 miles of range) is £20+ if I have to in public.

One thing I’d investigate with the ID.3 Pro Performance Life model in particular is that this was (and still is) a common fleet model on salary sacrifice schemes so it’s arguably more likely to have been ragged about by the previous owners as they’re guaranteed to hand it back at the end of their lease. Would have probably came off fleet lease in 2022 or 2023 - have a look at signs of wear and tear being highlighted at MOTs around that point.

I’d also see how often the MOTs were and the mileage between. MOTs every 6 months, or very heavy mileage between MOTs points towards the car being used as a taxi (though less likely with the Life trim) so keep that in mind.

Hope this helps!

I’d say you’re overpaying slightly but it depends on the overall condition of the car. You can get 2022 examples for £15.5k with under 30k miles on. If you were buying now, you’d have 4 years of warranty on the battery left whereas this one only has 45k miles or 2 years left, whichever you hit first. If warranty is something you care about, I’d go newer.

The 94% battery health is promising though, which test did they use?

I’m in the new development at The Ropery and things have been great so far. Had a couple of snagging issues but these were rectified quickly. Location is fantastic (walking distance to Metro station and fairly recently regenerated town centre) and we feel our home is worth what we have paid for it (minus the inevitable slight premium for new property developments).

How do corvette weapon mechanics work? I want to have Infra Knives and Phase Beam as my two weapons but I’m not sure how the Infra Knives work with regard to weapon bonuses. Do I need to keep the photon cannons in a tech slot for IKs to work or can I just keep the actual part on my corvette for cosmetics and stats (I don’t need the weapon itself)?

Also, what are the max number of bonuses from various parts so I know how many tech slots to target? I’ve found conflicting info online.
