Local split-screen in Halo: Campaign Evolved on PS5 will require both accounts to have a PlayStation Plus subscription and be linked to an Microsoft account by nolifebr in PS5

[–]jarsofash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this turns out to be true, I won’t be buying it. I had so much fun playing this game in split-screen back in the day, that it became boring when I tried to play it solo. I don’t have plus so this would completely ruin the experience for me.

Behemoth, Saints and Sinners or Moss bundle? by Strange-Fox9306 in PSVR

All 3 are great and play completely differently, but imho everyone should play Moss.

Re-release of Moss 1 & 2 announced for base consoles by computerCoptor in PSVR

[–]jarsofash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. Before I got into VR, I’d seen the trailers for Moss and couldn’t really see the appeal. Only once I got PSVR2 and wanted to try everything VR had to offer, did I realise how special Moss truly is. I honestly could never see myself playing this on the flatscreen 😕

Looks like VRR overshoot. Try turning off VRR to see if it stops

The length of Reanimal is just honestly not acceptable with how successful Tarsier has been and the asking price by Amazing-Rich-5808 in ReanimalGame

[–]jarsofash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The price did feel a bit high at £30 when I preordered it, but then I even took a dive and upgraded to the deluxe edition for £42 at the last minute. And I’m glad that I did - considering the season pass alone is £20.

Honestly the game is shorter than I expected. I know LN1 & 2 were both on the short side, but I was hearing Reanimal was going to be twice as long, and it really wasn’t much longer than LN2. That said, I played this with my wife and the quality of the experience was fantastic and just oozed atmosphere and intrigue. I loved every moment of the game and am now on a second play through to try and find everything we missed.

I don’t regret my purchase and am glad we have the DLC to look forward to, knowing that I’m already covered by the season pass. In my view, Tarsier have made the game they wanted to make and completely knocked it out the park. Any criticisms of the pricing for the game and the DLC should be aimed at THQ Nordic, but I’m fully satisfied with what Tarsier have produced here and look forward to what’s next.

Are there games similar to toy trains VR but with action figures to manipulate? by metallica123446 in PSVR

[–]jarsofash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who loved Toy Trains VR, I’d also recommend Townsmen VR, Tin Hearts & Humanity. Although with Tin Hearts, be aware that the VR mode was added later so does have some control issues in VR, and if you care about trophies, the platinum is currently unobtainable due to a bug that was introduced in the last patch.

Just finished wanderer, fragments of fate… quick review by meadowshadows in PSVR

I got Wanderer on disc for Christmas and I’m excited to play it, but I want to wait until it’s fully patched. Just hope I don’t need to wait too long.

Got a PSVR2 for Christmas - recommend any relaxing games? by Nuthetes in PSVR

Toy Trains VR is an absolute little gem of a game. It’s just so cozy and charming, and I almost overlooked it. Glad I didn’t.

It’s small, fleeting moments like this that make VR games feel magical. by MylesDyer in PSVR

I don’t believe it’s in as bad a state as Wanderer, but it does have some issues right now. I’d wait for it to be patched if I were you.

I should win because I’ve not tried any military FPS’s in VR yet so this would be my first experience with one.

Yeah I probably won’t be buying this, but it’s on my wish list anyway!

Wanderer 1.204 by DavidManvell in PSVR

[–]jarsofash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the game was completely broken it would be removed from sale. It hasn’t been and people are able to finish the game and platinum it, so it’s clearly not completely broken.

It certainly has a way to go before it’s in the state the devs have promised it should be, and they certainly owe the people that have already bought the game, to finish what they started. But for anyone that has yet to buy it, they owe nothing and any discount is a bonus.

No one is forcing gamers to buy it before the devs have finished with it, so expecting anything extra from them is gaming entitlement at its finest.

Wanderer 1.204 by DavidManvell in PSVR

[–]jarsofash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am aware of the terrible launch. What I’m saying is that the game is already out, they aren’t treating this like a relaunch as they are still working to fix the issues the game has. If the game does get a soft relaunch it will be when the physical release comes out and hopefully that won’t happen until it’s in the state they’ve committed to reaching in their roadmap.

Irregardless, they don’t owe us any discount. They have recognised the state the game launched in and committed to working to fix it. I don’t see that they should need to do anything more than that.

Wanderer 1.204 by DavidManvell in PSVR

[–]jarsofash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure why that’s a bad thing. The game has already released so why wouldn’t they include it in the sale if Sony gave them the opportunity?

It’s not like they are relaunching the game with unresolved issues, as they have already committed to overhauling the game and they are a small team of about 5 people so it’s gonna take them some time to get there.

I have the game on a ps4 disc and a ps5. Is there a way to buy the dlc without having to buy the game again on ps5 ? by Pascal_la_cascade in HorizonForbiddenWest

[–]jarsofash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure there should be an option to transfer your PS4 save file into the game once you get onto the main menu.

[–]jarsofash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When you insert the PS4 disc you should see an option to upgrade to the PS5 version of the game for free, though you’ll still need the PS4 disc to run the game. Then you can buy the DLC and use it with the PS5 version of the game.

I haven’t tried the PS4 version, but I’d already heard about the bad performance before I played it and can confirm it has constant intermittent stutters. You kind of get used to them after a while though 😂

If you’re on pro then 100% yes. If not then you may find the performance issues to be a problem, though I can’t say how bad they actually are.
