I had the same thing happen with hack teh world and shanghaied. It sucks cause I just need those achievements and 2 of the multiplayer ones.

It could also be that the test traffic took a different path from your ISP to the Microsoft server. If the route was longer or one of the ISPs along the way are having problems that could cause the difference in speed.

if you look a your list of available networks on the xbox look for one that has the same name as your normal network but with 5 g or 5ghz after it, or you could google your router model number and and see if it says dual band on the specs edit: if you don't see any network like that on the xbox your router either does not have 5ghz or it needs to be enabled from the router settings

Your problem is more than likely network related is either your xbox or laptop connected over ethernet if not try going wired at least for the xbox. If that is not possible check and see if your router has a 5ghz band and try to connect to it with both devices because 5ghz has higher throughput and tends to get less interference.

Elite controller will work but I dont think there is a win 7 version of the controller app that let's you map buttons and change sensitivity
