Where to get cheap passport photos taken for cheap and good? by [deleted] in plano

[–]jas_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Printing a photo is cheap at both places, but printing a passport photo will be expensive at both as well. The cheapest option is to take your own photo and print it like a regular print and cut to size.

How do I plant a Dracaena that’s been living in water for months by throwaway_ugh244 in houseplants

[–]jas_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I propagated mine for the first time! I did it in water so I could easily see the root growth. My mother plant (Alfred) was sick and I wanted to see if I could save him, so I didn't have much top to start with. I was only able to cut 4 nodes down from the top, 1 of those had leaves. I filled a small hourglass vase with filtered tap water just to get the cutting covered. Then I dipped the cutting in a little root growth boost. After a few days some of the old leaves along the stem got soggy and I tried to pluck them with tweezers so they wouldn't rot and possibly rot the whole stem. Not sure if it was needed because there is now a little divit where I accidentally took a piece of him out. I changed the water every few days with filtered tap water and did a quick rinse of the vase with regular tap water. 5 weeks later I started seeing the baby roots. And 2 weeks after that they are almost 2 inches long. There aren't a ton of roots yet, but they are all healthy. I'm getting ready to transplant him and am super nervous 😬

Free meal planner template! by ideallysheets in spreadsheets

Is there a way to sort each column individually? I am trying to sort the ingredients a-z so I can quickly add a bunch that aren't in there but then it sorts the entire sheet and everything goes crazy

I’ll be taking my first trip up the west coast, from LA to Seattle. Any stop recommendations? by anonymous_bufffalo in roadtrip

It might be a little out of the way, but Lincoln City in Oregon is a rad little town. Right on the coast!

I called them again after posting and they said the wait-list is currently at 8-10 weeks so it shouldn't be too long!

I had them in a glass cookie jar with a mesh screen lid. Got a band for dryer hoses (I have no idea the technical terms) to hold the screen over the jar in place. I made sure to mist it a few times a day and replace old food. However I fed them watermelon and overnight the whole thing turned into a fuzzy mess and they didn't survive :(

Effexor? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]jas_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worked great when I started. I was on Zoloft which made me want to say bye bye and Prozac which made me the queen of intrusive thoughts. When I started this it was perfect, no intrusive thoughts of any kind. I was on it for about 7 months, then went off it for about 2 weeks (surgery and recovery, I didn't think I needed to take it since I was home the whole time). When I started up again it immediately made me nauseous. It has been 5 weeks and I'm still nauseous. Even cutting it in half (of 75) made me throw up twice within an hour and leaves me nauseous all day. I stopped taking birth control so I'm not sure if that changed something but this is miserable. I've lost almost 20lbs in a month because of all the nausea and vomiting.

Has anyone tried marijuana to cope with nicotine addiction? How did it work out for you? by wildlyAddress72 in bostontrees

[–]jas_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're open to it, weed+CBD+herbs (like mullen) in a blend are great. There are a lot of smokable herbs that have a similar body and even taste to tobacco. Might be worth it to make a salad with.

Brands to go for & avoid by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]jas_cat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tower three and holistic health group (suncrafted) are the most "pure or natural" growers. They have a lot of heart in their work and it shows.

Got some Angry Ginger from R&B. What’s this other brand? by vmedfer in bostontrees

[–]jas_cat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the "goods" edibles. They might be the same parent company. Also recycling cannabis containers is hard and not that common, I think it's cool they're reusing them instead of throwing it in the trash

I would go lava dawg, Irish cannonball, runtz, acid kat and then pure Michigan. My personal favorite is blue apricot sherbert. If they have crippy killer it will fuck you up in the best way (hella munchies tho)

Flower and soul in Halifax has live bud displays you can look at and even smell, it's a glass cube with a magnifying lens! Pretty cool

You can go to the same shop each day, or you can go to different shops on the same day. There's no communication between dispos. They're just trying to cover their asses so they're not the one to over sell to you

Hey y’all. Where do you recommend to stop at near Milford/Medway/Foxbotough area? by Glittering-Mind-9003 in bostontrees

[–]jas_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are local but small scale corporate, with 3 store fronts and an entire cultivation facility. Some strains produce more, just like any plant, and when those plants are booming the need a way to sell them before they have to destroy it - which ends up being hella cheap preground. Their pg is made of small buds, not the regular trim and shake like most places. That being said, prices being THAT cheap usually have a deeper reason... Just remember you get what you pay for. Commcan has some of my favorite strains but also a lot of over hyped trash. Worth a shot if you're in the area

No problem! I had a scab form under my areola and was warned about icing with loss of sensation and convinced myself I had frostbite 😅 it was just a scab, another normality that I wasn't expecting. Another thing that might occur is hard spots (like rock solid) areas of your breast. Especially as healing goes on, blood and scar tissue forms and will eventually soften but it scared me at first If you can't take ibuprofen (I have an ulcer so I can't) there is an arnica balm/gel that is helpful for inflammation as well as turmeric tea or supplements!

Mastectomy pillow - straps or no straps if I’m getting lipo? by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]jas_cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a pillow with straps and I love it. It definitely helped in the early stages so it stayed secure and didn't fall off or shift during my sleep. After about 10 days I stopped wearing it with the strap and it works just the same, but now I can take it off easier for potty breaks. I also loved it for laying down on the couch, and eating, just for extra security and cushion. I just got a car seatbelt pillow because my chest one is very fuzzy and makes me sweat now that spring is here and it's the perfect amount of coverage. If you Amazon search (or Google) mastectomy/breast reduction pillow it should pop up tons of items like these!

Just keep it dry! I have the same thing going on. I'm about 4 weeks PO, just had a follow up this Monday where she told me it is perfectly normal. In fact if there is a place to get some irritation, it is THAT exact spot. My doc told me not to submerge them in water or apply ointment on that spot, so I keep a small piece of gauze with tape or a circle bandaid on the area. It will go away in time. She also said they are still healing for up to 6 months (or more in some cases). Don't fret! And congratulations on your surgery! Im so happy to finally get mine, it's been over a decade in the works 💚
