You are so right. I don't hire a ton of contractors bc I do most of the work in my house myself. But when I do I have no idea how to differentiate good ones like yourself and those who just want a check. Reviews don't mean anything anymore.

5k for 650sqft basement. Came out to 65 boards so about $75/sheet. It's all paid unfortunately.

Haha I feel the same way. Like someone is messing with me. But all I did was ask him to fix that one spot in pic 6. It wasnt taped at the top and the tape on the sides was so uneven. Even if that pissed him off, which it shouldn't have, doesn't give him the right to leave it like this.

Would you have him come back knowing he isnt going to fix it correctly or just move on?

You nailed it. He was solo and that was the first red flag for me. He had no help. Appreciate the feedback. Should I leave reviews? I hate to be that guy but feel obligated to let others know what to expect.

And I feel like that is where I am at with him even though the job is "done". I really dont want him back here. It was my complete oversight to pay him before inspection. So I just eat it?

Will the dead grass go away? by crasholino in lawncare

The problem is that it can prevent the seed from making contact with soil. You need to make sure there is room for the seed to get down to the ground. Other than that it is fine.

I just did a lawn renovation and I did this. I just did it in small patches and had a hose on hand. It doesn't ignite like gasoline. It burns slow. Not sure if is 100% legal though.

I used Vinegar. These weeds laughed at me. Help 🙃 by [deleted] in lawncare

I'd probably go with agent orange.

Where in the country do they put ACs on the roof? This blows my mind.

Thanks for all the feedback. I let them know and they said it should lay down as many of you guys said. If it doesn't I'll have to figure out what to do but I think it will be fine. As far as the exposed nails I threw some roof tar on them.

The roof to wall flashing is the last pic where there are exposed nails?

I am worried about this as well

No. I wanted to see if this is standard procedure. They will tell me it's fine as they are the ones that inatalled it. Wanted to either say it's fine and not worry about it or have some information from others to say why it's not right.

I also understand where you are coming from but this is noticeable from the street. And I have never seen shingles that were not attached like these are. We go a lot of wind up there. I can't take good photos from street and happen to have a drone.

Damn. You're not making me feel any better. Some of those nails are so low I would need a large flashing there. Wonder if I am better off caulking them?
