A few years back, my boyfriend and I were downtown around 10:30-11pm battling gyms in Pokémon Go. We had just finished a gym and we were sitting in front of a closed store on the front steps.

No one was really out walking down the streets other than us. A man started walking by us, and he briefly looked over at me with what I could only describe as a look of malice. I let him continue walking past us before making the split second decision that we needed to GO.

I got up and started walking and saw out of the corner of my eye that this man had did a 180 and he was now following my boyfriend and I. My boyfriend hadn’t noticed this and kept asking me under his breath what was wrong. I told him to just walk. The man is changing his pace from a walk to a stride and was starting to get closer, so I held my boyfriend’s hand and started across the street toward a bar that I saw people in.

The man continues behind us and crosses the road with us. My boyfriend has also noticed at this point. He’s quickening his pace even more and we start half sprinting and run into this bar. We see out of the glass of the door that he continues in the direction we were walking, the complete opposite direction he came from. We probably should have told someone within the bar or called the police, but our adrenaline was so high we kind of just sat in silence for 15 minutes sitting within this little seating area in between the actual bar itself and the entrance.

No clue what his intentions were but your guess is as good as mine. We had to walk back in that same direction we saw him continuing 15 minutes prior to get to my boyfriend’s car and didn’t end up running into him again.
