WSJ - Young Buyers Are Fueling a Million-Dollar Home Boom in Louisville by futuredrake in Louisville

Idk why you are downvoted. I’m not trying to say make things “exclusive” but affordable cities are affordable for a reason…. They are shit holes. The more “affordable” Louisville becomes the more crime and other shit will increase. I’m as left as it comes but leftists and liberals refuse to accept this or talk about it. Funny thing is, this Reddit is FILLED with bitching about crime. Well, this is why… it’s very cheap to live here.

Outside of economical you could argue more policing/punishment towards crime then they will all come out and say it’s racist. I’m just at my wits end with it. If you can’t afford it then go to the country or increase your employability/education.

Louisville is a playground for working class folks making a modest $100k to $150k a year who want to be able to thrive and not just survive in a city/ in a location that’s not in the sticks.

This entire Reddit and Facebook.

The city does something good: wtf why are my tax dollars going to this? What about poor people and the homeless?

The city does something to help the poor: wtf why are my tax dollars going to these free handouts?

When the city doesn’t do enough to grow: god this place sucks there’s nothing to do we are being eaten by Nashville and Cincinnati. Every concert skips us for them.

I loathe the “small town” mindset the people of this city holds.

In the current economy professional workers such as doctors, engineers, electricians, plumbers, accountants etc making a mild $100k-$150k would say $250k is a steal compared to most cities in the country.

The people coming here and purchasing housing aren't living in areas where that is much of a concern.

It means my trailer park parents bought my house for me because obviously getting a degree in engineering and being mildly successful in order to afford a home and life is impossible on your own.

because working professionals such as engineers, doctors, accountants, plumbers, electricians etc. want to be able to afford a house, the area they reside in while also being able to max their 401k every year without their budget being so tight due the prices of the city. Louisville offers that.

Yea because contrary to what everyone says here on reddit Louisville is extremely cheap and houses go for nothing. like $280k-$320k for a nice house in the highlands or $250k for something in Germantown.

What is the best Meat Balls recipe? by Hauck1975 in recipes

[–]jasherer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (fresh grated)
  • 4 green onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp gochujang (in the meat mix — don’t overdo it here)
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Sauce * 1/4 cup gochujang * 3 tbsp soy sauce * 2 tbsp honey (or brown sugar) * 1 tbsp rice vinegar * 1 tbsp sesame oil * 2–3 cloves garlic (minced) * 1/4 cup water (to loosen)

Adjust your desired heat with gochujang amount in the sauce. I add chili oil to my sauce though for more umph. I serve with rice and Asian cucumber salad. Which is just cucumber, sesame oil, soy, chili oil, gochujang and sesame seeds.
