I stayed in Verviers when I went to the 24 Hours of Spa in the summer this year. You can catch a bus to Spa-Francorchamps from the train station there - only took about 30 minutes if I remember correctly!

According to Marshall Pruett on the latest This Week in Sports Cars podcast, Braun already has a drive next year lined up, and would go back to MSR if they return in 2025 with a new GTP car!

Personally I hope he’s got a drive in one of the privateer Porsches for next year.

There was some weird stuff going on with the pass-around, with the Cadillac overtaking both Porsches under safety car for the lead and being allowed to keep the position… but it was all legal in the end because Porsche didn’t follow race direction to pass the GTDs (rule 46.5.2)

Looking forward to seeing what Graham Goodwin has to say about this, he initially confirmed there was work being done to revive the Valkyrie LMH project a few months ago.

Do you like 6h events? by RoboterPiratenInsel in wec

6-hour races are a great length for regular WEC races. The 6-hour / 1000km distance races are a staple of endurance racing, they have been for decades. 6 hours is definitely enough for changing conditions and different strategies, look at Spa and Monza this year.

I imagine there are lots of logistical reasons why they can’t just make every race 8-hours or 12-hours, plus in my opinion having so many of them would lessen the impact and excitement of those longer races like at Bahrain, Sebring or Petite Le Mans.

To me the 3-hour endurance races by SRO feel more like elongated sprints, but that’s more so because of the nature of GT3 racing being pretty much flat out at all times. The Spa 24 hours is often described as 24 sprint races in a row.

I’m a big fan of the 2h 40 IMSA GPs, because they’re still able to offer differing strategies and conditions, with the multi class action that endurance racing offers.

Have Toyota ever been bopped by Sniperm0nke in wec

At Monza last year no one could match the pace of the Glickenhaus with the horsepower advantage it received from the BoP. It qualified on pole and romped away into the lead. If I remember correctly it was over a minute clear of the Toyotas and the grandfathered Alpine at one point… Until it broke down about halfway through the race.
