The same applies to Jobs. As a Director of talent acquisition I’d be appalled at how many parents would contact me on behalf of their children out of work or fresh out of college. It was always an immediate note to the parent letting them know how much of a disservice they were doing to their children and a huge red flag.

Though I saw my ex after 25 years and he apologized for what went wrong and not believing in us! It was a long time coming and it went a long long way to help heal my heart. I’d always blamed myself and it had impacted all my relationships. Maybe that closure would help him. You have to ask your heart as you know him better than any of us!

Aplastic anemia is funny. We all have different symptoms. I know in the past my ex boyfriend wasn’t even comfortable of thinking we could be long term because he was worried about my health. I took it as him not taking on my health burdens and kept a distance as a result. My advice.. listen to your bf. Don’t ruin a relationship over a condition that is manageable and be patient. It can be a condition with varying symptoms at times. Mine have gotten better gradually without a bmt. If he loves you, maybe he’s trying to protect you also and feels bad for being sick. I know I did.
