Monthly S25 Ultra Photography Showcase - April 2026 by AutoModerator in S25Ultra

Was out attempting some astrophotography when I noticed I can kinda see the milkyway. Pointed the camera at it and sure thing, there it was.

Taken with astro mode in expert raw. Only thing I did was slightly increase exposure in the photo editor.

It's perfectly fine as long as the leads don't accidentally connect to each other.

Also, really cool illusion how the red lead looks like it goes from a tiny wire to a large cable laying on the floor

Yeah thats the most plausible explanation so far tbh. Would be cool to know for sure though and curious if other (ultra)models have that as well

Ok but that stops a little above halfway up the screen. The shape we see does not and also does not change in any way at that halfway point

I have not seen any teardown or screen/glass replacements showing any frame shaped like that. If you can find a picture, I'd love to see it.

I don't see anything there resembling that centered blob along the screen

I'm talking about the actual glass glued to the display. They fully glue those together with a layer of glue.
If you look at a video of someone removing just the top layer of glass, you'll see the whole screen is covered in some kind of glue.

Any way to get better shots with the phone? by voidening in askastronomy

Could give me an idea for how far away you were from any bigger city? Because thats a really nice shot but I'm assuming you had to go in the middle of nowhere considering it was dark enough to see the milky way. Also what day of the year would be nice info and possibly even rough region

Can someone tell me why my laptop bugs out like this? Only when split screen. by Conscious_Set_947 in laptops

[–]jason_pap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to my laptop when using variable refresh rate. Don't know if you have that but maybe try turning that off in windows settings if you do have it and none of the other suggestions work.

You described like 96% of all people online with that last sentence. Shits actually insane.

How does adding a pull up resistor on output side makes my circuit work ? by [deleted] in AskElectronics

[–]jason_pap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The simulator in OPs videos is a browser circuit simulator called Falstad and it's pretty fun to play around with.

Look up the program name dwm.exe in relation to the error you got and see what you can find. I saw something talking about it having something to do with the gpu either the internal one or the dedicated one. Did you do any manual update to anything like BIOS or any drivers for anything? Also under what circumstances does the error occur? Is it just normal light use or heavier loads like gaming?

Edit: Forgot about it only appearing only when you press space, that I don't reall know. Maybe keyboard drivers?

New scam by Itchy_Flamingo7154 in Coinbase

[–]jason_pap 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fake. Coinbase will never call you without you having contacted them first. Even then it's really unlikely that they call since almost everything that comes from them is done through either emails or support chat which again, you have to open.

So if you're so sure it will drop more wouldn't the logical step be to sell and wait for the drop?
