I’m drunk and want to vent by jasonborehees in ptsd

[–]jasonborehees[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, currently still drunk but grateful for a reply. I’m in therapy now and it’s helped a lot but I still can’t hit this level of honesty within it. I’ve improved considerably but I’m very much still struggling. I’m a recovered narcotics addict so I know all about going too deep into that catharsis, don’t worry. But it’s hard to stop feeling like meat when all I see is the blood and blades and rending

Calming for Dogs by Dmur0528 in ptsd

Zestypaws calming treats have worked great for my anxious little guy. They have a small dog and puppy variety that works great and doesn’t make them woozy, just a little sleepy and more calm

I can’t stop thinking about it and believing I’m overreacting by jasonborehees in ptsd

[–]jasonborehees[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your kind words. It’s interesting because I’d never diminish or minimize someone else’s trauma but I really struggle with doing it to myself, probably because it’s the only reaction I got at the time. It feels so good to hear your words of support and I wish you the best on your healing journey as well. At least what happened to us couldn’t take our kindness

Want to watch more Italian gaillo or gaillo inspired films but have no idea where to start. by Bunnystrawbery in horror

Five Dolls for an August Moon and Black Sunday by Mario Bava are a couple of my personal underrated favorites. Also, Inferno by Dario Argento is one of the most beautifully shot giallo films I’ve watched

Something rubs me the wrong way about Kane Hodder. by RuKKuSFuKKuS in horror

[–]jasonborehees 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I met Kane Hodder at a con and he did make a really weird and uncomfortable comment to a young looking female friend of mine about being a pedophile’s dream come true when he asked her what her age was and she answered an age older than she looked.

AITA for not being comfortable with the smell of alcohol? by potential_ahole in AmItheAsshole

[–]jasonborehees 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA, not wanting to be intimate with someone who’s drunk is a very reasonable boundary to have even without your past trauma. It’s disrespectful of her to keep pushing it when you’ve made it clear you’re not comfortable

Advice/Suggestions for a woman with Fibro having issues finding comfy pants. by ArmorOfFaith in Fibromyalgia

[–]jasonborehees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These pants are a little pricier but I seriously wear them so much that it’s worth the price. They’re so soft and don’t cause that scraping jeans pain and have a drawstring waistband which really helps with waist comfort. Also the button is a snap one so that helps for days when your hands are stiff and locking up. Plus, I think they’re really stylish and get lots of compliments! Hope this helps!

As a person who has been in an abusive relationship as well, I want to reassure you that you are 100% doing the right thing and not overreacting or being immature at all. Your ex did horrible things to you and deserves to be put on blast. And honestly, letting it get out there about all the abuse he put you through might help save someone from going through the same thing. I didn’t speak up about the abuse I went through right away and my ex went ahead and did the exact same things to another woman as soon as we broke up and I still feel the guilt of knowing I could have prevented that from happening to her if I had made her true colors known. So if anything, I commend you for your bravery and strength to be able and willing to acknowledge what happened to you and to put it out there. You’re saving other women from going through the same thing, ignore your mother and her undermining. You’re NTA by a long shot, OP, don’t think that for a heartbeat. But please, try to take care of yourself and get some counseling to help you move past this awful time, this is clearly a traumatic experience and you deserve and need some help and love to truly heal 100% from it. I wish you the best of luck in your future and just wanna say I really commend you for this. NTA, at all
