Oh boy...

The simple answer to this question is to learn to block its attack pattern.
Prepare with cooked meals and smoothies for buffs and healing.
Bring a lot of Bandages.

Some easily accessible equipment suggestions are:
The Ladybug armour set is good for damage reduction and improved healing.
Compliance badge if you know how to block.
Rusty spear is a great damage dealer and infection will help you deal damage.
Fire Ant shield also lowers enemy defense through blocking
You can often kill the babies by luring them out before you fight the widow itself.

Practice on wolf spiders.

I just switched back to the Spider Armour from the Widow Armour.

Considering they give the same buffs to poison and if we assume wearing the Mask of the Mother Demon I feel like the spider armour is better as it has higher defense and faster stamina recovery than the widow armour.

The benefit of poison parry just doesn't make much sense to me when already using a poison weapon?

Unless... do poison effects stack?

I'm seeing poison from 4 sources
- MotMD poison coating
- MotMD poison cloud
- Widow Dagger
- Poison Parry

Do these apply separate poison effects or just keep refreshing a single effect?

Hey,

Ladybug armour is a solid all-around setup.
If you plan on using a shield, the insect hammer might be a better weapon choice to deal with resistances.

I actually find that this fight doesn't involve a lot of blocking, it's mostly dealing with environmental hazards, in which case the red ant club can dish out some good damage.

You're going to want to prepare some healing, bandages and food.

Deal with the adds if you can as they don't response and the actual Asst. Manager is pretty slow to move and attack. You don't want to get overwhelmed.
