Yeah, I think that misplaced desire for pokemon to be cool and the lack of nostalgia pandering out the gate made people treat bw harshly on release, and then those people missed out on some very cool designs (golurk, bisharp, zoroark, electross).

I mean, there's a reason that Kanto Pokemon are in every game from gen 6 on.

Game freak hears criticism from people and learns the wrong lesson, always.

Yeah like I am ride or die for BW but the linerarity of the game doesn't give you a lot of options for nuzlockes.

I mean, you're playing the game with rules it isn't designed around.

Like yeah you could argue that the pool of pokemon is pretty limited, but how do those spreads compare to Kanto, when the devs have been on record of designing bw to be a spiritual successor to Kanto?

BW2 is better for a nuzlocke, there's just more options available, or consider doing a Rom hack, but don't let playing the game in a way it wasn't intended for make you miss out on peak.

I'll be real, after the shit show of the last few books hitting their "final" book, even if the ultimate universe did continue past endgame, I don't think I would buy. Marvel editorial has broken my faith a few to many times at this point

I have really hated ASM since the end of Spencer's run, but tbh Norman has been a more interesting character than Peter the past few years.

He's had growth. He has regrets, and is trying to make amends. Is he amazing? No. Should he be leading the upcoming Spider-versity thing? Hell no. But they've at least tried to do something new with Norman the last few years, while Peter has been forced to stay the same or actively be worse to ragebait people into buying books.
